The Views “The Penthouse" is a modern studio apartment in the centre of Keswick just off the Market Square. A parking permit is included allowing FREE use of the town car parks. It is on the top floor (that's why we call it The Penthouse) giving amazing 270 degree views over the roof tops of the surrounding mountains. From the living room there are outstanding views over the town and of Skiddaw and Latrigg. And of Derwentwater, Borrowdale Valley and the surrounding mountains from the kitchen.

The space
The apartment is a self-contained studio loft apartment with an open plan living area and hideaway bed with a separate kitchen and a separate bathroom.

The living area has a comfy reclining double leather sofa to watch the clouds wisp over Skiddaw or relax watching the smart tv or simply just curl up in front of the real wood flame effect stove.
There's a professionally installed hideaway bed which makes the most of the space. It's a very comfy proper full size double bed when down and has the added advantage that it can be easily pushed up to hideaway in the wardrobe which makes the most of the space.
There's a 43 inch smart TV with surround sound system.
And last but not least there's a dining bench from which you can admire the views over the roof tops of Skiddaw, Latrigg and the Helvellyn range, or just people watch on the streets below.

The kitchen is fully functional and well equipped with ceramic hob and dishwasher. There are incredible views over Lake Derwentwater, and the fells around Borrowdale towards Scafell Pike. There are even views over Keswick's market square. Set the bar stools up for breakfast (or dinner). It's a bit squashy but the views are well worth it.

The bathroom has bath with shower over, basin, WC, mirror and heated towel rail. There's mood lighting and speakers connected to the surround sound system. There are even views to be had while showering !!

You can understand why we think the apartment is quirky !!

A parking permit is included giving free parking in any of the three long term town car parks saving you over £12 a night. Drop off your gear at the apartment and the car parks are only a few minutes walk away.

Guest access
The Penthouse comes with a complimentary parking permit which gives you free parking in all the long term car parks saving you between £25 on a 2 night stay and over £85 on a 7 night stay.

The apartment block is only 0.2 miles, or 3 mins walk, away from the main car park and is located on a double yellow lined street enabling you to pull over directly outside the entrance door to offload your gear when you arrive, and load your gear when you leave.

There is a separate entrance door to the apartment block and each apartment has its own private entrance, kitchen and bathroom.

The Penthouse is located on the third floor - the top floor. The staircase is pretty much the same as any other house staircase and has half landings to each flight. However as there are three flights to access The Penthouse they may not be suitable for people of limited mobility.
