Fish on a private lake (catch/release)!

A beautiful pool and hot tub welcome you! Best of all is the lake, built by the Army Corps of Engineer in 1953, filled with ducks, geese, bass, and bluegill for your fishing pleasure (catch/release)! Take out our peddle-boat, or bring your own kayak/canoe and explore.

The space
This amazing home, sitting on 33 acres, has unrivaled privacy, a rustic charm you’d expect in a lake and mountain setting, with 4000+ square feet of living space to get together or take some personal time. It's perfect for family gatherings to reconnect, relax, and yet has plenty of available activities for everyone. In less than 10 minutes you can be in either the famous recreational haven of Base Lake and/or the hometown comfort of Oakhurst. And of course, the property is only 18 miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite.

The property sits on a small lake with its own private dock. The lake is fed by winter rain runoffs and water levels are maintained in the summer to preserve the fish, duck, turtle, and other wildlife populations. The options are endless! Let your senses absorb the amazing wildlife or just relax with a fishing pole in hand (catch, eat, or take home!) and feel the daily stress disappear.

The home's amenities boast 4300 sq ft, 6 bedrooms 4 full bathrooms, outdoor kitchen complemented with a pool and attached hot tub (fits 4-6 comfortably). The Bungalow was the studio for the lead drummer for Supertramp!

Please note the pool is NOT heated. There’s a gas BBQ. Most of the bedrooms have an open view of the lake.

You could enjoy dinner or a happy hour beverage on the large patio deck facing the lake. C’est la vie! Take a stroll along the lakeside trails, enjoy a board game, horseshoe, take a dip into the pool, or enjoy the sunset in the spa. Absorb the beauty of your surroundings. You deserve this. Our favorite, kicking back on the deck watching the fish literally leap out of the water.

Additionally we have local cows who are sourced to roam the pasture land, keeping the grassland to proper length, helping with fire prevention. They will live happily and peacefully in the enclosed area, and we'd like to keep it that way. Thus please do not venture past any/all of the fences located towards the far side of the 2 overflow bridges by the lake.

Pets are negotiable. Requires owners approval and $300 pet fee. Maximum 2 pets per rental. To preserve the home, no wet dogs inside and pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture.
