Photographer and musician Pat Winfield is at it again. She renovated this lovely double just around the corner from the Waterloo Arts & Entertainment District main drag. The baby grand piano in the living room has been tuned and the open kitchen packed w/cooking tools. Whole house water filter. Waterloo features multiple galleries, great neighhborhood coffeeshop, artisan pizza, funky local bars and the legendary Beachland Ballroom and Tavern concert venue. Just off I-90, minutes from downtown.

The space
This renovated home has the original woodwork and hardwood floors giving it a warm and homey feeling. The baby grand enjoys the living room.

You’ll find photographs taken by Pat Winfield throughout the home which add to the relaxing atmosphere.

Guest access
The entire apartment is for the exclusive use of the guest including the front porch other than for the upstairs neighbor to check his mail.

This is entire first floor of a double, so a long term tenant does live upstairs.

In 2016 I bought a 4 suite building in the up and coming Waterloo Arts district. They were all occupied by a great bunch of young, artsy friends. The tenant who occupied the 1 bedroom unit got a job traveling as a caddy and had to leave with no need for his furniture. Seemed like the perfect time to put together an AirBnB. So my daughter and I spent the next several weeks decorating and shopping. We wanted to make it a place where we would like to stay. All the linens, comforters, blankets, pillows, towels, rugs, drapes, and even the tablecloth are made from natural fibers (cotton, goose down, linen and jute). And as I am sensitive to smells, I do not use air fresheners, and I take care to use soaps that are free of perfumes and dyes. I decorated with photographs I took in my early days of travel in Europe and North Africa along with some from Cleveland's own Little Italy. Waterloo has a lot to offer: Beachland Ballroom and Tavern (concert venue with nightly national acts and great food - the heart of the district), Millard Fillmore Presidential Library (an adorable, welcoming bar that has a great selection of beers and offers live music several nights per week), Citizen Pie (the best pizza ever with the highest quality ingredients), Six Shooters coffee shop (fantastic coffee, and just an awesome place with an art gallery and really neat neighborhood accents), Rust, Dust and Other Four Letter Words (A studio and gallery: You just have to see it - words can't describe its uniqueness), and many other galleries and great shops. Cindy, co-owner of the Beachland Ballroom, is the host for the AirBnB because I don't think there could be a better one. I saw well over 200 reviews from her other properties and the people loved her as much as the properties. Enjoy your stay!
