Get away from the city while still on the grid. Our rustic, pet friendly, comfy home is nestled between 2 ponds, wildlife, hiking trails, even more ponds, lakes, rivers, & more. We’re centrally located right between HWY 50 & 80. Your room has it’s own entrance, private bath, close parking & fast Wi-Fi. In the winter we’re close to skiing, & in summer - Bassi Falls, Loon Lake, & 15 mins to Stumpy Meadows for trout fishing & kayaking. Our own pond out the back door is full of Blue Gil and Bass!

The space
Rustic setting with emphasis on relaxation. The Main Pond is treated with a special bacteria so the water is suitable for swimming, and is fed by fresh water from Stumpy Meadows Lake during the summer. The home is small (1300 sq ft) but set-up so privacy is key for all residents. The bedroom has been furnished specifically for Airbnb, with everything purchased new for the utmost enjoyment. Children are welcome and must be watched at all times as we are surrounded by water. There is an extra guest bedroom if needed - $20 per night for one additional guest only and must be over 18 years old due to all the water, if not already in use. We are a pet friendly household. Your pets must be house trained, fixed, and never left unattended unless arrangements have been made. We sanitize all linens, including the bed blankets and comforter, between every stay. We are only 1 mile out of town with easy access to the grocery store, neighborhood bars including the Georgetown Hotel, 7 restaurants and a deli, and a gas station - all within one mile.

Where you’ll be

Georgetown, California, United States

Rural country setting 30 minutes from Placerville and Auburn. Special location due to all of the ponds we have in our area - at least 13 ponds surround us. Wonderful easy hiking area just a few minutes walk from our front door. We’re only one mile from town. AWD vehicle recommended during winter stays as we do get snow every year.

Hi there - I'm an artist, an animal lover, and a writer. I work part-time, I have a big garden with lots of goodies, and I love to swim in my pond. My goal is to make you comfortable in my country home, and have an awesome stay!

During your stay

I'm a firm believer of giving privacy. If you don't need any help during your stay and want to be left alone, I'm good with that. I’m usually available to help with any questions or house instructions, places to visit, etc.
Children must be watched at all times - there is a variety of sizes of PFDs provided for when a child is near the water.
Pet interaction - First of all, make sure you have added your pet to your booking. That way if there’s an unrepairable “accident” you’re covered by Airbnb’s insurance. All pets need to be protected with flea and tick medicine, and fully house trained. My dog Leeloo is a lover and she’ll be your dog’s best friend.
In case of a power outage, we have a full-house generator and propane heat - you can even do laundry! I have provided a house manual in your room with all the necessary information and instructions.
