Good value room with self-catering, 30 mins from Central London.
You have access to a kitchen with cooking facilities, fridge, freezer, hob, microwave, and of course a bathroom with a power shower.
There's a new wardrobe (not pictured) for hanging clothes.
It's a compact but clean and tidy room near Wimbledon Chase station.
The flat is well located for the world famous Wimbledon All Lawn Tennis Club.
Wireless broadband is included.
Clothes washing facilities are NOT available, but there is a launderette about 4 minutes walk away.
Parking is free in nearby streets like: Dennis Park Crescent, Burstow Road, Whatley Avenue, Canonhill Lane, Sprinfield Avenue.
The flat is located 1-2 minutes away from a Tesco supermarket, a 24hr Marks & Spencer and there's also a co-op supermarket. Waitrose and even more supermarkets and are 10 minutes walk away or 2 minutes by bus.
There are also a selection of good restaurants and take aways in the local and wider area. I can advise which ones you should try.
We're 15 mins walk away from Wimbledon town centre (on the District Line) or, alternatively, 2 minutes away by train.
Postcode/Zip code: SW20 8LS
Buses to the Northern line (Morden or South Wimbledon) leave every 10 mins and take around 5 minutes to arrive.
The neighbourhood is generally very quiet. I have good quality double glazing so it is not draughty and very warm inside.
Closeness to train station, supermarkets also very close. Wimbledon Common is great for a wander and places like Wimbledon have good nightlife and restaurants.
Very convenient. Multiple bus routes and train connections are on the doorstep. It only takes about 20 minutes to get to zone 1 (Waterloo)
Having just moved out of my house James was kind enough to accommodate me and my many bags for a few days. I didn't get to see much of James during my stay but found him to be a friendly, relaxed and helpful host. We had a few good chats and he gave me some tips on the local area (transport, supermarkets etc.).
The room itself was great -nice and bright with a nice view of the garden out back- and I found the listing to be really accurate.
Overall, would definitely recommend staying here! :-)
James is a fantastic host, very easy going and intelligent, respectful of privacy but at the same time on hand when help is required, his knowledge of the area is excellent, the room itself is as described with a nice garden view.
It was a good location close to the train station. James was helpful and respected my privacy. What he describes is what you get. As a first time airbnb, I am very happy with what I experienced.
The room is as described and good value for the money. James is a kind host and recommended.
Jame's home is perfectly located for business travel in to london, the flat is compact but comfortable and James takes great pride in its cleanliness. The single room is small but has plenty of storage (as described) - choose the larger room if you do not travel light.
James was travelling when I arrived but arranged for his neighbour to meet me and pass over the key. This worked perfectly with Alf being so close by.
I stayed ten days at James' apartment. I didn't meet him but his friend gave me the key. I enjoyed my stay, it was very easy to go to London from Wimbledon and the room had a nice view on the garden.
I spent 2 weeks apartment hunting in London and used his place as my base. Unfortunately I never got to meet him in person but his neighbor gave me the key and showed me in. It is exactly what it says in the ad; a convenient small room in a quiet neighborhood. The utilies (water, electricity, wifi) were all working perfectly fine and I had a very relaxing stay. There is no washing machine but there's a nearby laundrette you can use.
if you're looking for a convenient, affordable place around London, I'd recommend this place
I have stayed at James' for 4 nights as having works in London. The location is very convenient as just next to the train station, Wimbledon Chase taking staight to central London. Its also very handy with plenty of shops (Tesco, Coop, M & S) and takeways around. The room is small but comfortable and warm. I haven't met James but his friend/neighbour met me to give the key.
Always good to stay here.
The room in James' house did exactly what it said on the tin. It is no frills accommodation but clean and really convenient for the nearest station. I considered it to be good value for money as most places in London charge a lot more.
