Perfect, well-maintained, and clean 1 Bedroom apartment in Chinatown/Lower East Side of NYC.
The apartment is located on the 3rd Floor of a walk-up apartment building. There is a large well lit bedroom with a queen size bed, medium size armoire, stainless steel hanging rack for clothes, two dresser drawers. The kitchenette has a gas stove/oven, stainless steel sink, well stocked cabinets (i.e. glassware, plates, bowls, flatware), butcher's block, toaster, coffee maker, hot water pot, large refrigerator. There is an iron and an ironing board. Bathroom is equipped with a shower that has excellent water pressure! The living room/front room has a small but expandable dining table that can accommodate 4-6 people. There is also a sofa/pull out bed in the living room that can accommodate 1-2 more guest(s).
***Fresh linens and towels are provided.***
***There is air conditioning, heating and Wireless Internet (WiFi).***
***I strongly recommend that guests travel with a laptop, iPad/tablet, smartphone.***
***International travelers, please travel with AC adapters or a universal travel adapter for electronic devices.***
There is ample parking on the street or paid parking adjacent to the apartment building. There is a Laundromat/Dry Cleaning Drop Off Service across the street from the apartment building.
The apartment is located in Lower Manhattan in the heart of Chinatown! The neighborhood is bustling during the day with many street side vendors, fruit/vegetable vendors, and fish markets. At night, particularly Henry Street, the neighborhood is quiet and very safe. There is very little street traffic after 7:30PM. Coming back to the apartment after a late night poses no issues.
The Lower East Side and East Village are 10 to 15 minutes within walking distance. SoHo and Little Italy is 10 minutes away if you would like to get in some shopping! The South Street Seaport, Historic Financial District, Trinity Church, and the September 11th Memorial are also within 15-20 minutes walking distance. The Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges are a stone's throw away!
There are many great Chinese restaurants in the neighborhood that range on the inexpensive to moderate in price, perfect for the savvy traveller on a budget!
The Subway options are within 7-10 minutes walking distance. The F Line (orange) is located at East Broadway and Rutgers Streets and the B and D Lines (orange) are located at Grand Street between Forsyth and Chrystie Streets. The B, D and F Lines all have easy and free transfer points when wanting to change train lines within the Subway system. With that said, traveling to Central Park, Museum Mile, the Upper West Side, Midtown/Theatre District, are all within 20 minutes commute via the Subway.
Taxis are always readily available. There is also a very reliable Car Service Company in the neighborhood that I can recommend.
Any questions regarding anything, feel free to ask me! I like to keep and maintain an open dialogue and open communications with my guests before and during their stay. My phone is always on so please feel free to call or text me at anytime! Thank you so much for your interest!
We've just returned from staying at Chris's place over Christmas and had a wonderful time!
From the initial booking right through to our farewells, Chris was always helpful and quick to respond to any of our queries. Chris is the type of guy who wants to 'help' other people travel and see NYC and is not looking to make a quick buck.
The apartment itself was perfect for two of us, clean and comfortable and given it was -5C outside, it was always toasty warm when we arrived home in the evenings and through the night.
Location is fantastic, several subway stations within 10mins and there is so much to see and do within walking distance, the list is too great to write!
I would stay at Chris's again and would definitely recommend to others, thank for a lovely stay.
Chris is a really nice guy. Always available. We felt very welcome. Apartement is directly in Chinatown. Everything in Manhattan can be reached fast. Very friendly neighborhood (day and night). The apartment is small but really comfortable.
Chris was a very gracious host for our first trip to NYC. His apartment was clean and cozy and communicate with him was fantastic. We appreciated him checking in with us on the 2nd to ensure that everything was ok (...which it was). The condo is in a convenient and central location in Manhattan within a 10 min walk to multiple subway lines and Little Italy. Although staying in Chinatown may not be the traditional NY experience, we were very happy with our accommodation and wouldn't hesitate to stay at Chris' place again.
The reservation was canceled 48 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We stayed for the thanksgiving weekend and all we have are positive words for Chris and his place. Chris is a great fun guy, he was very welcoming and kept in touch with us during the whole trip. And it was really cool to find out that he has been in our hometown in Spain and has even a postcard from there hanging in the apt.!
Regarding the apartment, the place is just great. It is very clean and tidy, looks brand new and everything works absolutely perfect. It is also in a great location, you can just walk to the Brooklyn bridge and the financial district! And if you want to go to further north in Manhattan, you can just walk to the F line in East Broadway station that connects Manhattan north to south. It was really easy to move anywhere we wanted.
I highly recommend Chris's apartment and for sure if I go back to NY I will contact him first. Thank you Chris!
Great Apartament !!! clean installation and 100 % functional. Chris, tks for your help...first time for us in Airbnb...nice experience.
We stayed for ten days in this flat and Chris was a great host, very helpful, welcoming and stayed in touch with us during our stay.
The flat is very confortable, the neighbourhood is safe and the location is great, very close to the subway (east broadway station) and a short walk to Brooklyn bridge, Financial district or Lower Manhattan.
Do not hesitate, contact Chris !
I had an amazing time in NYC while staying in this apartment! Clean, comfortable, conveniently located (only a 10 minute walk to a subway station). Chris was beyond helpful, courteous, and stayed in touch to see how everything was going. I would definitely recommend staying here, as I will be when I visit Manhattan again.
We loved staying in Chris's apartment! It was really comfortable, cosy and clean. Chris was a great host! He answered all our questions before and during our stay and gave us a lot of information about where to go and where to eat. He even accompanied us in the metro to Brooklyn and gave us tips for the rest of our trip. We'd recommend staying at Chris's place!
