The space
Our cabin is a truly unique wilderness experience.

Soak in the year-round views, hike or snowshoe the Loon Echo Land Trust trail network from the back door, pick blueberries, ski or snowboard Pleasant Mountain and just sit back and watch for the many species of wildlife that frequent the mountain. Tuckerman's Cabin is a unique four-season experience sitting trail-side on Sunset Blvd.

Tuckerman's Cabin sleeps 6 in two bunk beds and a fold out futon. There is a 2-burner camp stove and a jug of potable water. We encourage all guests to bring all necessary supplies and prepare as if you were tent camping.

The cabin is naturally lit during the day and battery powered lamps are provided for the evening hours. A propane fireplace will keep you warm during the cooler evenings. Raised fire pits and firewood are ready to use as well as a natural outhouse.

Guests access the cabin via their own means - hike-in during the spring, summer and fall months and ski-in during the winter! It's about an hour hike from the parking lot or you can take the chairlift up in the winter. It is not accessible via vehicle.

Extra guests are $10 per head and must bring their own sleeping mattress.

The daily price includes the Maine State Lodging tax of 9%

Other things to note
Please be advised that this location is near the summit of Pleasant Mountain and requires a lift ticket for access during the winter months (not included in this reservation) and requires hiking by foot from the base area parking lot in the summer. This location is also "off the grid" and does not have power or running water. We recommend packing as if the guests were tent camping.

Families and friends have grown up side-by-side on the slopes, and every season we commit to introducing the Pleasant Mountain experience to a new group of skiers and riders. Located in the the Lakes Region of Western Maine, we offer an original, four-season Maine experience with an abundance of lakes, ponds and mountains. In the winter, we have skiing for all levels and abilities on 40+ trails and glades with 19 trails available for night skiing! During the off-season, hiking is a popular activity and all of our lodges are accessible to hikers and sightseers alike - either via the ski trails or the hiking trails on Pleasant Mountain.
