Camping isn’t for everyone but “Glamping” sure is! We welcome you to a 2021 Jayco RV situated on the back side of nearly an acre of land and connected to city water/sewer for your convenience.
For larger parties (8+), a two bedroom tent is available with queen airbeds as well as an extra bathroom. Gather your friends and family and enjoy a great getaway!
With tall azaleas, a 6’ privacy fence, and lack of many neighbors, you’ll feel like you’re in a world of your own.

The space
Bookings 2/10/22-2/20/22 include champagne or wine and a cheese plate from Chef-Whitney!

We welcome our guests with a sample of all natural, unfiltered honey, gathered from two beehives at the back side of the grounds. We occasionally have eggs from the chickens at the back of the property as well, feel free to ask if they’re available before arrival.

While you’re here, plan to visit Busch Gardens, Virginia Beach, or catch a few games at the Waterside district. There’s something to please everybody.

Retreat to the garden space to enjoy a blue-glass fire table over a glass of wine or bring some firewood and have a s’more making party at the fire pit with the kiddos, young and old!
The RV is fully stocked with all cooking utensils, linens and spices. A small grill is provided for the outdoor kitchen, and there are ample pans for use in the indoor kitchen. The larger propane grill is also available.

Sleeping arrangements include a queen tempurpedic style mattress in the master bedroom.
In the rear of the RV are 4 twin beds, bunk style, with ample storage space and a 3rd smart tv.

For much larger parties, we have an additional 2 room tent that can also be added with raised Queen airbeds and cooling blankets to sleep an additional 4-6 (possibly 8) people. There is a tent setup fee of $60 to be paid upon arrival. This fee includes setup of the tent, airbeds, chairs and a table, interior lights, a power cord, extra tiki torches and bug spray.
Again, the RV sleeps 6, but the spaces may be expanded to sleep up to 16.
For groups over 6, please message us to work out sleeping arrangements before booking to make sure we can accommodate. The yurt at the back of the property can also be added at a discounted rate for groups needing more than 3 queen beds plus the 5 twins. That listing can be viewed under TheHoneyPot757.

If you’re planning an event or birthday, we have packages available to include a 14’ outdoor movie theater, popcorn/cotton candy machine, extra tables, dj equipment, etc. See below for more info.

Both of these additional spaces can be added by messaging us in advance. We strive to make each stay as memorable and comfortable as possible so communication is important.

Our private, solar heated pool is available for you to use daily except on Tuesdays, when it’s reserved for morning private swim lessons. The pool is occasionally rented out for pool parties but any bookings pre-planned during your stay will be communicated before you’re locked in for your stay to ensure the times it won’t be available is acceptable.
The pool is open from May 1-Sept 30. It is fenced away from the back acreage where the RV is, so it’s very private. The pool is 25’x45’ and 10’ deep at one end with a 3’ deep shallow end. Visitors with children must supervise anyone under 18 while in the pool. The hot tub is only for adults 18+. Please do not sit on the edge of the hot tub, it will damage it. Floats and other pool toys are available for your use. This is a non-smoking property, please go to the street to smoke if necessary.

If you’d like to book more pool time for extra guests, you may request a link to book it independently so it’s properly insured. Pool parties are the only exception to the guest policy; the pool may be rented out for $75/hr for up to 25 outside guests and includes use of the dj speakers, grill, and tables. Contact directly to arrange for any events.

There are pool towels for guests to use by the pool, please be sure to only use the pool towels and leave the pool towels in the yellow bin. Please leave the area as clean as you found it. Glass/smoking is not allowed around or in the pool or hot tub area, or within 30 feet of the pool. There is no entry or diving allowed from the pool or hot tub edge. The diving board is for shallow dives only. Pets are not allowed in the pool.

Pets:

Our two dogs are very friendly but the back area is fenced away from the main house so there won’t usually be direct contact with guests. They usually potty in the front when we have guests, but they’re always happy to come say hi if you’re comfortable. Our male is massive and built like a bodybuilder, but super friendly.

Our two chickens usually free range part of each day and don’t respect any fencing. We apologize in advance for their begging!! They are somewhat inquisitive and may come to see if you have treats for them, you’ll be their best friends with a few blueberries, strawberries, crushed eggshells, or mealworms. Please don’t enter their coop area or touch the coop without us present, it’s tricky to get it closed properly. We’re happy to help your kiddos “find” their eggs.

Pet policy:
We know how (difficult) it is to travel while being a pet parent.
Dogs are allowed inside the RV, there is a pet fee and you’re responsible for any damage, and they must stay on a leash and handled by an adult while outdoors, no exceptions. Please keep pets off all furniture, you may borrow a pet gate from us if needed.
Again, dogs are not allowed off-leash or in the pool for any reason and an adult MUST handle them while outside. If you’re not sure of their behavior around chickens, please be extra vigilant and let us know ahead of time. The chickens do free range to some degree and may be around the RV occasionally. Violating pet rules will end any reservation immediately.

Cats are not allowed, generally, due to the risk of injury to our chickens and tendency to shred furniture, but again, if you have extenuating circumstances, we can possibly work out some ground rules to make it work. We have pets and know how hard it can be to find care when you really need to go out of town but also need to make sure our chickens stay safe, they’re our pets too.

Virginia Beach is roughly 30 minutes away, Busch gardens and water country are a short 45 minute drive. The Great Dismal Swamp is less than 15 minutes and we have kayaks for guests to use. For great nightlife, downtown Portsmouth, waterside, and the Ghent district is sure to please with their many breweries and chic restaurants.

We’re Beekeepers, bikers and former foster parents. We travel to unwind and tend to be pretty quiet but love a good campfire, music, and a few laughs. We’re pretty laid back and we thoroughly love hosting. Making your stay memorable, helping prepare surprises for your kids or significant other is what we live for! Just ask, we’re always happy to help.
Our place is in the extreme northern part of Portsmouth, just blocks from the north Suffolk line and less than 5 minutes from the MMBT. We have bees and chickens (Fate and Soul), and two friendly dogs, Royal and Champ. The neighborhood is very safe and generally quiet- unless we’re having a pool party!
