The Space

If you're looking for location, look no further. This is where some of the best neighborhoods intersect including: Hayes Valley, Castro, SOMA, Lower Haight, Civic Center, and Mission.

The unit is quiet because it's on the courtyard-side of a large gated complex. There is a separate patio space as part of the unit where you can enjoy a cup of tea and watch the courtyard hummingbirds zip along.

Most hotel courtesy items are available such as paper products, towels, and fresh sheets. You won't need to spend extra for condiments, spices and hot tea. The place has WiFi and appleTV.

Kitchen features a double-oven stove, dishwasher, and there's a bbq outside. Washer/dryer in unit, wall-mounted television, and speakers.

Finally, a note about me. I will be your flatmate in the smaller bedroom. Hopefully my profile notes assure you I'm not crazy.

Interaction with Guests

Open to getting a coffee, walking around to show you a few neighborhoods. Please let me know if you're interested! I'll be around either in my room, or out enjoying the sunshine or with friends.

The Neighborhood

It's just as quick to walk to hip restaurants and biergartens as it is to stop by the ballet or symphony.

Getting around

Access to public transportation is a breeze. The apartment is situated between two BART stops, at the intersection of MUNI lines, and at the entrance/exit to the bay bridge and south bay highways. Renting is easy. There is an Enterprise rental-car place a block away, and both Zipcar and CityCar Share have rentals available in the car lot right behind the complex. Indoor Garage parking is also available.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed with Michelle. She is super nice and super helpful. On the first day, she took us out and showed us all the cool spots to hangout near her apartment. Her apartment is super clean. Location is great. Right off of the F train. Definitely would stay with her again if I were back in San Francisco.

  • I had a great stay with Michelle in her condo in SF. The room itself was comfy (I slept like a baby) and clean. The complex has a gate entry and Michelle's property faces the interior of it, so it's much quieter than the surrounding neighborhoods, definitely a bonus. Michelle herself is a warm and excellent host. I felt completely at home and comfortable treating the listing like home. She recommended some great spots around the city, and we even enjoyed a quick stroll to grab coffee before I headed into work one morning. I accepted an offer to have dinner with her and some friends one night and had a wonderful time, seeing even more of SF than I would have on my own. I definitely recommend Michelle as a top host and her listing as a wonderful place to stay.

  • Michelle was an excellent host. Her easy going nature and communication skills put me very much at my ease.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The stylish apartment is in a great spot within a twenty minute walk of the centre and next to the many delights of the Mission district.

I would not have any hesitation in recommending her or her property to anyone needing to stay in and around San Francisco.

  • Michelle is one of the top airbnb hosts that I have had the chance to stay with. Her home is super nice and clean, just as described. My Spotify appreciates all of Michelle's input too. We chatted about work and life, among other things, and her advice has already been spot on. There was even a moment when I thought I was living a scene from "The Social Network" (Palo Alto apartment). Can't beat it!

  • Michelle was a fantastic host; she helped me get my bearings in the city and we had a few great conversations. Her place is indeed in the middle of everything, but somehow manages to remain quiet for peaceful sleep. It's tastefully decorated, and I felt comfortable both there and in the surrounding area. I stayed for a week and would definitely stay again.

  • This was my boyfriend and I's first time in San Francisco and trying out Airbnb. We were a bit hesitant at first in regards to staying at a strangers house and we've normally only traveled and stayed at hotels. When contacting and getting in touch with Michelle, it was very simple and she responded very quickly-which I appreciated! She was very flexible and accommodating (I was sick during the time I was there and she never made me feel uncomfortable about it). She had allowed us to park our car in her garage (which was a huge bonus since parking in San Fran is quite expensive!). Her place--> beautiful! We loved it and everything was so clean and we really felt at home. Michelle made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived up until the moment we left. We definitely felt like we made a friend from this experience as we would hang out at night talking about our lives and experiences. She was a great host and offered many ideas of what to do while in the city. She gave us great ideas for wineries in Sonoma so that really helped. We were sad that we didn't book the rest of our vacation with her but we were glad we met her. We hope to keep in touch!! What an amazing and wonderful host =)

  • Michelle was a fantastic host, extremely hospitable and made us feel very welcome in her lovely place. It was a great location, safe secure and very comfortable. We would have loved to spend more time with Michelle but our stay was short.
We will definitely be back when we return to SF.
    Highly recommended.

  • Our stay with Michelle was fantastic.

Her place was immaculately clean, boasted the comforts of home with the trendiness of the city. Michelle's flat was conveniently located close to transit and within walking distance of a number of great restaurant options.

A fabulous host, Michelle went the extra mile to ensure my bf and I got the very best out of our SF stay answering questions before we arrived and offering suggestions while we were there.

Would highly recommend this location to anyone staying in SF.

  • Just WOW! This was my first Airbnb experience so I wasn't sure what to expect, however I chose to stay at Michelle's place for my 2 day San Francisco visit and now I wish I could have stayed for longer. Michelle made my stay very comfortable, enjoyable and unforgettable. Michelle's place is an infusion of modern/rustic look, which is absolutely adorable, her place is clean, spacious and has all necessary amenities. She has a fully equipped kitchen, beautiful bathroom, lots of mirrors in the house which is a big bonus, and superfast wireless internet. Michelle's place is close to both the BART and MUNI, both stations are within walking distance, although I had no trouble finding my place around the city, as Michelle was very helpful with providing information. Michelle made me feel like I had my very own personal tour guide, not only did she offer he valuable time to take me out to all the hot spots, but was nice enough to listen to me babble about my experiences into the early hours of the morning, even though she had to get up early to work the next day.
For all the new visitors and first time Airbnb expriencers, I highly recommend staying at Michelle's place, as there are so many benefits, short walk to Mission, short Muni ride to downtown San Francisco where many tour buses depart, through downtown its a beautiful stroll to Chinatown and North Beach.
This experience has left me wanting to see more of San Franscisco, and next time I come back I will definitely be staying at Michelle's. I have made a new friend, and hope we can stay in touch until you come to Australia, I will be sure to return the kindness. Thank you Michelle for opening up you beautiful home to me, and taking the time to personally show me around the city, it was very much appreciated, and look forward to all our future encounters. Cheers, Vivien

  • Michelle was a great host, very interesting to talk to, and her apartment is very cool, much better than staying at a hotel. It was my first visit to the US, and my first Airbnb experience. Her place is in a great location; there is so much to do, and it is very convenient for public transport.

I am currently taking some time off work, but usually find myself working as an engineer for software/web companies. I don't drink, I don't smoke, and I have lived with something like 15 housemates/flatmates with whom I've rarely had issues. I love being physically fit, and travelling to exotic locations. I drive a Vespa and have no diet restrictions. If I'm staying at your place, hopefully my listing gives you assurance that I have a place I respect and will bestow that same respect onto your place.
