Beautiful 1920s Hancock Park Single

Apartment - Entire home/apt · S Gramercy Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90020, United States

The Space

This beautiful third-floor single corner unit features hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and early 20th century charm, including black-and-white tiled floors, spacious walk-in closets, French windows, a breakfast nook, and a built-in vanity. The north window also offers views of the Griffith Park Observatory and the Hollywood Sign. The apartment includes all the standard appliances, plus a coffee grinder, French press, rice cooker, water heater, WiFi, Yamaha upright piano, vintage Technics turntable, and 1000+ records. Laundry facilities located on the lower level, and there's an amazing tiled and gated 100-year-old elevator (fully up to code, mind you). Street parking, but the neighborhood is safe and I have never had more than a two-minute walk in over three years as a resident.

Perfectly located for easy surface street access to Beverly Hills, the Sunset Strip, Downtown, Los Feliz, Silverlake, Echo Park, Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, the 101 freeway, and the 10 freeway, ALL IN UNDER 15 MINUTES! 35 minutes to Venice or Santa Monica beaches via surface streets. A five-minute drive from the Miracle Mile, LACMA, and the La Brea Tar Pits. One mile from LA's most charming walking district, Larchmont Village, and a five-minute walk from the mansions of Hancock Park, home to the stars.

A 10-minute walk from the Metro subway (Purple Line), Ralph's, CVS, a myriad of quirky all-hours Koreatown cafes, a U.S. Post Office, and the historic Wiltern Theater. Less than a 10-minute drive from the famous Grove, the Hollywood Farmers Market, and a Trader Joe's.

In short, this rental is perfect for someone who wants easy access to all of LA and a charming space to come home to.

Check In
  • Great place to stay, Host was very nice and helpful. Location is fun and beautiful. Parking can be hard but not horrible. I highly recommend staying here.

  • Aaron was a great host. Great with communication and very flexible. My husband and I (and our small dog) had to check in earlier than expected and Aaron got out of his way to make it happen. The apt was within walking distance to some really great restaurants (Beer Belly!!! omg!!), and we always found a parking spot w/in 2 blocks from the apt. It was an overall very positive experience and will definitely come back if we're ever in the area!

  • This is a great little place! Felt very at home and was located in a great location. Had some troubles with the shower, but A.M. was very kind with compensation and had great communication throughout the whole situation. Overall, I would definitely stay again.

  • Aaron was a great host and his place was quite and comfortable. The perfect location for our L.A. visit and we felt quite comfortable walking the neighborhood late at night. We would definitely suggest booking with him.

  • Aaron was extremely helpful during the booking process and made sure my wife and I were taken care of. Not only is he a gracious host, but we also had the chance to hang out with him one evening for a slice of LA life ;). As always the place was comfortable with all the amenities we could possibly need, we both love the character and location, and parking was convenient for the whole week. As always it was a pleasurable experience and I would recommend this place wholeheartedly. Thanks again Aaron.

  • Aaron's place was great. It seemed to be fairly close to everything, and was in a safe neighborhood. He provided us with all the info we could need. Quaint little apartment.

  • Aaron's little apartment is just the place to stay if you want to be in the Hancock Park area. Clean and comfortable with a well equipped little kitchen for breakfast or even cooking dinner if you are too tired to go out. Plus, Aaron is a delightful host. Both my sister and I have stayed there, and have declared Aaron's place to be the family Airbnb choice.

  • Aaron's place was PERFECT! centrally located, clean, comfy, came with a great collection of records to play on the record player.... and Aaron was friendly and a super cool host! Readily available via text, email, phone and ready with an incredible list of things to do/ places to eat. Couldn't ask for a better airbnb host / home!

    * * * * * :-D <---- this is how I feel about Aaron & his apartment

  • The Hancock Park Single offers a unique experience with tons of cool vinyl to listen to (if you're into that sort of thing). Although I didn't spend much time in the unit, it was spacious, clean, the bed was comfortable, and wifi had good speed. Most important, Aaron went out of his way to make sure he was easily accessible. Check-in/out was a breeze and if I was in LA again, I try and stay here again.

I am deep into L.A.'s music and art scene, and love passing along tips and recommendations to visitors. I lived abroad for two years. I triple-majored, thanks largely to an impressive innate gift for indecision. I enjoy travel, used books, coffee, records, food trucks, records, coffee, and also, coffee. And coffee. And records.
