This beautiful third-floor single corner unit features hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and early 20th century charm, including black-and-white tiled floors, spacious walk-in closets, French windows, a breakfast nook, and a built-in vanity. The north window also offers views of the Griffith Park Observatory and the Hollywood Sign. The apartment includes all the standard appliances, plus a coffee grinder, French press, rice cooker, water heater, WiFi, Yamaha upright piano, vintage Technics turntable, and 1000+ records. Laundry facilities located on the lower level, and there's an amazing tiled and gated 100-year-old elevator (fully up to code, mind you). Street parking, but the neighborhood is safe and I have never had more than a two-minute walk in over three years as a resident.
Perfectly located for easy surface street access to Beverly Hills, the Sunset Strip, Downtown, Los Feliz, Silverlake, Echo Park, Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, the 101 freeway, and the 10 freeway, ALL IN UNDER 15 MINUTES! 35 minutes to Venice or Santa Monica beaches via surface streets. A five-minute drive from the Miracle Mile, LACMA, and the La Brea Tar Pits. One mile from LA's most charming walking district, Larchmont Village, and a five-minute walk from the mansions of Hancock Park, home to the stars.
A 10-minute walk from the Metro subway (Purple Line), Ralph's, CVS, a myriad of quirky all-hours Koreatown cafes, a U.S. Post Office, and the historic Wiltern Theater. Less than a 10-minute drive from the famous Grove, the Hollywood Farmers Market, and a Trader Joe's.
In short, this rental is perfect for someone who wants easy access to all of LA and a charming space to come home to.
Aaron was extremely helpful during the booking process and made sure my wife and I were taken care of. Not only is he a gracious host, but we also had the chance to hang out with him one evening for a slice of LA life ;). As always the place was comfortable with all the amenities we could possibly need, we both love the character and location, and parking was convenient for the whole week. As always it was a pleasurable experience and I would recommend this place wholeheartedly. Thanks again Aaron.
Aaron's place was great. It seemed to be fairly close to everything, and was in a safe neighborhood. He provided us with all the info we could need. Quaint little apartment.
Aaron was incredibly warm, accommodating, and friendly. His apartment was wonderfully located and ideal for a visit to L.A. Definitely planning on re-booking for my next trip!
Aaron was very nice and communication was great. He told us exactly what to do to check-in. We loved the detailed email and how funny he was. The location is also so perfect for us. 15 mins drive to most of the places that we wanted to go. Parking can be a bit difficult but we always find a parking spot within a few blocks. The elevator was a bit scary for us to take as well so we always took the stairs but it was not bad at all. We kinda like the exercise since we did do a lot of eating all weekend.
Aaron is awesome to deal with and the apartment is as advertised. If you're a light sleeper this might not be perfect - thin walls, busy building/area, etc - but otherwise it was great!
Staying at Aaron's spot was just what the doctor ordered on a weekend trip to LA that needed to be extended. I stayed just one night but it was perfect. Between the upright piano, turntable, 1000 records, and Bose speaker connection for the iPhone I was set. Table in the kitchen provided a great view and perfect work space. Bed was comfy, place was clean, and the apartment is in a GREAT location. A quick 5 minute walk to Koreatown and you've all sorts of great spots to eat and drink. A little further walk you're in Larchmont Village. Will definitely stay again with Aaron...who by the way was excellent with communication, quick to respond, and very gracious with sharing all the great spots in the area. Thanks Aaron!
Aaron was very accommodating in setting up check in and check out. Flexible and friendly. Provided area recommendations.
The apartment contains an incredible album collection. All my time spent in the apartment I listened to great albums. It really added to my stay. One totally honest point to be fair to other prospective guests is that there was a slight odor to the apartment, not sure what it was. However, I burned incense all weekend and everything was fine! Bed was super comfortable. Hot water in shower ran well.
The apartment is older, so appliances and furnishing are older and not the cleanest. For the price and location (close to subway and buses) it is a value stay.
My stay at the Beautiful 1920's Hancock Park Single was awesome! The apt was spacious, neat, comfy and cozy!! Aaron was the best host and I would definitely book again the next time I am visiting LA!!
I had a super stay at Aaron's place! The bed is so comfy. It really felt like coming home after a day at work. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Wilshire/Western subway and bus connections, on the odd chance that, like me, you're in LA without a car. I felt safe walking around the neighborhood even at night, and saw a few families and trick-and-treaters out for Halloween.
