Cathy contacted us by email to make sure we got in
She was available for questions immediately
Her house has beach access- a huge plus. Everything you need is there
Bathroom shower was great!
It was also nice that basics were there, like salt pepper. T paper etc and some toiletries
All in all a very comfortable stay
Cathy's home is the perfect place for a cozy Tahoe escape. Great home and perfect location. We definitely plan on staying at the cabin again. It was a great experience.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the cabin for 2 nights of skiing in between Christmas and New Year and had a spectacular time.
The cabin is just as cozy as is pictured! The downstairs area is extremely comfy with big oversized sofas and chairs, and blankets to cuddle up with. The bedrooms are small, but all the space you need for a good night's sleep - and the mattresses, pillows and duvets were all delightful after a long day on the slopes. We cooked several meals in the house and were pleased to find some of the basics (butter, oil, spices, salad dressings) already stocked - ditto on the bathroom with lotion, soap, hairdryer, etc.
The cabin is within walking distance of the lake shore, The Sunnyside and a few other small resetaurants/cafes, a very quick drive to The Bridgetender and the main drag of Tahoe City, and about 20 minutes from Squaw Valley/Alpine - so a fab location for a summer or winter trip.
Cathy was always extremely quick with responses to our questions (sometimes within minutes!) and made our stay easy and pleasant. I'd definitely recommend the cabin to anyone, and hope we can return one day!
Cathy's little cabin was perfect for our Christmas holiday- very cosy, good cooking facilities and we really like the location. Cathy was always in contact when we emailed her and very helpful.
We'll definitely stay there again! Thank you :-)
Stay in this darling, old Tahoe cabin for the perfect getaway! Conveniently located near the bike trail with easy access for all season adventures.
We enjoyed the deck and the yard. We Mt biked Page meadows, which is just up the road. We walked to the private beach daily, nice extra. The cabin was lots of fun and Cathy was AWSOME and was very helpful! Their is no doubt that Cathy wants you to have a good time!
About the Host, Cathy
Born and raised in San Francisco, I have always enjoyed spending time in Tahoe, year round. I currently live in San Francisco and travel to Tahoe for my vacations. I wanted a cabin walking distance to the lake, with beach access, but close enough to Tahoe City and Squaw Valley for skiing. Tahoe Park is the perfect location. The lot my cabin sits on is 1 1/2 times a typical lot in the area. I remodeled my cabin in 1999 and planted a garden the following year. It's a very special place, especially in the summer months.
