Wonderful cabin - even better than the description on the site! We spent four days here with my son and his family (from Nashville). The cabin was clean, warm, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire and attracting birds to the feeder - recommend the Bird Seed shop in Blue Ridge.
We also enjoyed riding the Blue Ridge Scenic railway, walking in the woods nearby and exploring the town of Blue Ridge.
Max was helpful and the information provided by email and in the cabin was also useful.
We had a beautiful respite from life. Mom loved the river rock placemats and the rock shower floor and she really loved the plates. My son, regardless of being 27, was reveling in his teen years with the bunk beds and the coooouch. His 6'2" frame rarely gets to stretch out like that. I found peaceful out breaths in every level of the porches. We came for a memorial service on Sunday and to meet with people, young and old, that we hadn't seen in sooooo long. They wet sad and happy tears and we had the incredibly comforting spot to land in while we were there.
Max's place is great. Its clean and neat inside while providing a cool rustic atmosphere for relaxing in the mountains. The house is a nice location from many fun activities and sites. My friends and I greatly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for anything from a group weekend to a romantic getaway.
Max place was absolutely flawless! We couldn't find a misplaced furniture, dust at any corner or missing light bulbs in any lamp. The host was absolutely courteous and responded quickly to all questions. I will rent from Max again and again and again! Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Max was extremely helpful while we were making arrangements for us and two other couples to spend Valentine's weekend celebrating my 40th birthday. Communication was exceptional. The cabin was every bit as beautiful as I imagined, and for someone who stays in Blue Ridge often, I have to admit that it was the most expensively-decorated place I've ever stayed, and what an eye for detail the owners have! The beds were comfortable, and every necessity was provided. We would have been fine bringing half of what we did. The owners have some personal items around which makes it feel more like staying at a friend's place than renting an empty space.
We watched movies on the big screen in the media room, took a walk down to the river bed and around the beautiful and safe neighborhood, enjoyed coffee around the outdoor fireplace, grilled steaks, talked philosophy, and played board games around the large dining table. It was a wonderful, romantic, cozy retreat.
The only downsides at all were that the bed sizes were not listed, and I didn't think to ask. The bed on the main level was too small for any two adults to sleep comfortably, so we had to make use of the luxury couches and Restoration Hardware blankets downstairs. It was totally fine but not ideal. The view is foresty and nice, especially the view of the sunrise from the upstairs private porch. To get a true mountain view, though, requires a walk up the steep hill to the top of the gated community.
The addition of a hot tub would just make this the perfect getaway. Still, this is a cozy, intimate place to feel pampered. I highly recommend this cabin and would love to stay again - or make it an annual event.
We had an incredible time at this cabin. It's warm, inviting, and has lots of space. Everything is there for a great time in Blue Ridge. The cabin was completely set up with everything we needed. The theater/rec room is perfect for family fun, and the historic Blue Ridge area is minutes from the cabin with great restaurants and shopping. Can't wait to go again next year!
This place is actually nicer than advertised. It's beautiful on the inside--feels like living in a mountain Pottery Barn. Very clean and all the little things you need (laundry soap, fire starters, etc...). Nice big wrap around porch with fantastic outdoor fireplace. Sadly no amazing view, but still looks over some nice trees and is somewhat private.
I'd stay here again. This was our first AirBNB experience and I'm pretty sure it ruined me for anyplace I stay next.
