Nice room in a tiny street close to all the restaurants, with very helpful hosts. I imagined the deck a bit differently though: it's overlooking tin roofs and not really the lake. Our second night was quiet and we slept very well but we had barking dogs and roosters from 2 to 4am…

Response from Elisabeth:
Dear Pierre, Yes, though Panajchel is a town, it is in fact a rural one with roosters and dogs throughout the neighborhoods. Some nights it is beautifully silent, as you experienced your second night. At other times, there is neighborhood animal sounds. Concerning the upper roof areas, most guests find the view stunning- the sky, volcanoes, a bit of lake as it is listed, "volcano views". Your next stay is directly in a village across the lake is directly on the shore line; I hope you were able to have the lake views you wanted.
