  • I had a wonderful stay here and Barbara was an excellent hostess. I commend her for her kindness and hospitality. Wouldn't hesitate a bit to stay again!

  • Staying at Barbara's house was like going to visit an old friend. She's really that easy to get to know. Aside from being fun to hang out with, Barbara provided a pleasnat room with plenty of light, good closet space, and a very comfortable bug free bed. Her house is conveniently located, with a sunny backyard for sittiing down with a good book and a cup of coffee. And for those of you who are picky about your coffee, you won't be dissapointed when you taste Barbara's!

  • Barbara was a great host, very friendly and helpful. She has a lovely home--beautifully decorated, peaceful, and clean. Our room was cozy and the bed was super comfy. I would definitely stay there again.

  • Barbara was welcoming and instantly made me feel at home. She provided a lot of direction and advice to jump start my knowledge of Oakland and San Francisco. Should you be fortunate enough find yourself staying with Barbara, you are surely in for a treat, as she perfectly balances her vivacious and funny personality with genuine warmth and care.

  • Loved meeting Barbara, her home was very pleasant, I felt cozy in my room. It was a convenient location to my workshop in Berkeley. Hope to get a chance to stay with her again!

  • Short distance to the BART and so if you will be travelling a lot to the city or other parts, this will be a suitable location.

  • Barbara was a great host! While I was at her house she treated me like family and told me the best places to go visit and to eat in the area! The internet speed was fast, the towels and sheets clean, lots of room to relax, a block away from MacArther BART station, the list could go on and on! I recommend any and everyone to stay with Barbara for a weekend get away trip or a short business stay- it's a home away from home!

  • If you like cats, she has 4.
If you don't mind finding urine in the toilet every time. She likes to save water. I just didn't want her urine splashing up on my bottom when I did my thing. You know what I mean?
If you don't mind just one bath towel for the 3 days, bring your own wash cloth or face towel.
    Bring your own soap.
If you don't mind taking off your shoes at the door and carrying them through the house. Even though there's cat hair.
No TV in your room, Bring books to read.
I was out by 7:30 AM and returned around 8 pm, felt very confined and watched over.
Glass of water was left out and she said it was mine and gave it to me to drink it the next day. What??? was that all about?
    The house is very nice.
    The neighborhood "iffy".
Over all I won't be staying there again.
