About This Listing
A much loved spacious one-bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor of a period building in the very heart of London can be yours on your next stay in London!
The apartment has been beautifully furnished and is very functional. It is south facing and is flooded with sun light during the day and is well proportioned throughout with a large living room, spacious bedroom and well sized bathroom.
The apartment can comfortably accommodate four people. The bedroom has one queen size bed with the most incredible mattress, a recent purchase I will never regret. I will provide a set of towels and bed linen.
The living room has a dining table, which sits six and a large plasma TV with a good selection of channels. A spare bed comfortably sleeps two without too much of a squish, I can vouch for it as have slept on it myself on more than one occasion. It can be wheeled about the flat and placed in either a bedroom or living room depending on your requirements.
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need from pots and pans and cookery books (about 60 of them) to Nespresso coffee machine to give you that boost! There is also a washing machine/dryer, toaster and a kettle and, of course, a well tested oven.
The bathroom has been recently renovated and has a well sized shower cabin.
Please, note that I give preference to longer stays, a week and over.
If you are looking for accommodation of one month and over email me directly with possible dates of your stay. I will be working abroad in 2014 between one and four months and would be interested in renting the apartment out to one person/family during that time.

Great apartment, great location, great host. Will definitely stay again!
What a great apartment. Sara was in contact with us during our trip. She met us at the apartment and explained all that was required. The apartment is exactly as in the photos. Very clean, very nicely furnished and very comfortable. Great location with several tube stations and bus stops in walking distance. Close to Marylebone High St with supermarkets and lots of restaurants. Short walk to Oxford Street. Would definitely stay there again.
The location is unbeatable. Everything is close by, and we've enjoyed the ample options of restaurants, cafés and grocery shopping.
The flat itself is also welcoming. My wife and I were traveling with a baby, and the space was very comfortable, with more than enough room to set up our travel crib and move about. As it was our first experience abroad with the little chap, relying on that space was valuable.
Sara was incredibly welcoming and easy to reach. We haven't met in person, but she had everything ready for us when we arrived, and there was a family member waiting to show us around.
If you're thinking about some other options, don't: you'll hardly do better than this.
Sara met us on time as planned at the flat and gave us a guided tour of her apartment. Flat was spotless and has a simple layout with large lounge and bedroom. The flat seems larger than the photos suggest. The campbed is perfect for small kids, our 5yo was delighted as Sara had some toys ( lego) + a box of bears :)
The king size bed is so comfy- fresh linen etc.....a sound nights sleep is guaranteed. Handy to have a kitchen to do a spot of cooking.
The location is perfect, 5 min walk to MLB High St and a 3 min walk to various bus stops ( 453 is perfect ), takes you to Regent St, Trafalgar Sq and on to Westminster etc. If you ever need a taxi there will be one on the street within about 2 mins of waiting.
I would definitly use Saras flat when back in London as its a very safe area, with good shopping/eating and travel options.
Many Thanks Sara. Px
About the Host, Sara
Londoner. Love food - creating, eating, and cooking - dreaming of writing my own cookery book. Love mindless meandering through streets and parks, which takes me to new places. Making new friends is a purpose in life. Art is a passion which makes me happy. Travel is what makes life interesting and opens the mind - more! Yoga was the discovery I never get bored with. Family is my life. London is my city.
A good Italian restaurant, not the best by a long stretch. It's finest feature is the outdoors space, which is like gold dust on a rare warm and sunny day.
The best French Patisserie in town. One word - delectable and stylish.
An authentic Scandinavian style cafe where you can get a good cup of coffee with a hot cinnamon bun. Avoid busy times.
One of the most prestigious book stores to do a book launch. Wonderful inside, books are unconventionally arranged by the country. Pop in on the way to Waitrose.
They sell food of all kinds as well as good lunches. They have a place upstairs, which is not very well advertised. Good soups and quiches. Take away option available.
This is a good place to buy your fresh rye bread and baguettes, they can cut it for you too.
A good local Turkish place. Ask for Sammy, who is the owner and will give you a warm welcome, the best seat and make sure that your meat is done just how you like it.
It's mecca for any cheese lover. You need to see it once. They have a cafe on sight where you can have all the cheeses in the world, lunch and afternoon tea.
Close to the flat, this is your local groceries store.
A conceptual tea house with a great selection of teas with an outdoors space. Great for people watching and meeting up with friends.
Every Sunday from 10am to 2pm this boring car park turns into a basting farmer's market. Worth a stroll on a Sunday morning to get your bread, veg, cheese and eggs. Support English countryside! :)
This wonderful ArtDeco building is worth a visit just to admire it's interior. There is a restaurant/cafe on 1st floor. Make sure you get to sit on the terrace in the summer - nobody know about it!
Fantastic tapas served with a selection of good Spanish wines.
Great place - you can get anything here from the best almond croissant and a lunch take away to a one Michelin star dinner.
A national museum in a town house displaying 18th century French painting, furniture and porcelain with superb Old Master paintings and a world class armoury. Superb cafe in an atrium. Hidden gem!
Our local cinema. They usually show a max of two movies per week. The cinema itself is very small and cosy inside. A nice thing to do on a Sunday or Monday evening. Book.
A top health food store, 5 min walk from the flat offering dietary supplements, gluten free foods, vitamins etc. Great choice of products from different brands.
Good, honest and reliable dry cleaners, which I have been using for years.
Simply the best take away sushi in town, frequented by the Japanese, always a good sign. Order in advance by calling them directly to avoid waiting.
A very good Middle Eastern cafe. It's downside is that it is very small and gets a bit noisy and overcrowded during pick times. The food is excellent, book!
Five minute from the flat, this department store is where you get your feather duvets and pillows, light bulbs, bed sheets and towels, dinner sets etc, it's all there. Service is good.
Marylebone's better version of Harrods. Make sure you visit the basement, the most experimental part of the store.
This is based in the basement of John Lewis, get your groceries here. Good wine department.
The best Sunday breakfasts in the vicinity, really worth a shlep to Mayfair for a creamy scrambled egg on toast and pancakes. They have not learnt how to do the same in Marylebone yet.
An iconic arts and crafts store, which soared in popularity in the recent years. Known for its sumptuously designed fabrics like the paisley design and the store's own Liberty print. Worth going in.
The finest sushi in town, which has become a real destination for those who like to titillate their taste buds.
The chef likes his truffles and foie gras :).
One of the top yoga studios in London only 15 min walk from the flat. It has a lot of classes every day from beginner to advanced covering different yoga schools. They do drop in classes.
Destination place for the wine lovers. You can treat either as a store where you can get any wine in the world or a museum. I have done both and can't have enough.
You are two min away from one of London's best parks. If you are visiting between Ju -Aug, make sure you visit Queen Mary's gardens to see the roses. A canal walk is fantastic too, check the map.
If this pace doe not change your attitude to Japanese noodles then you are not a noodles person. Fantastic selection of soupy noodle concoctions done in a true Japanese tradition. Perfect for lunch.
Walk to this lovely neighbourhood through Regent's Park, have a coffee on high street and wander on to Camden market. On the way back take the canal walk back to Regent's Park. Check map or ask me.
An experimental cuisine, fashionably known as molecular gastronomy, with a one Michelin star. You can try some of its now iconic dishes like a snail porridge or meat-fruit. We love it!
A one Michelin start French restaurant. It is French cooking taken tot he next level. Must try if you like French cuisine.
One of the cheapest minicabs in London. You must give exact addresses to get the correct quote. In addition, provide number of ppl and luggage. Good for long distance trips, otherwise use black cabs.
