Entire floor of private East Village brownstone. Just two blocks from Union Square and many subway line (4, 5, 6, N, R, Q, L) and buses. All the great East Village restaurants, bars, shops, and theaters are right outside your door. Perfect for a couple or a family with one or two older children.
The space has its own private separate entrance, open, spacious, air-conditioned, living, kitchen, dining area with beautiful exposed brick. The living area has a flat screen TV, cable, stereo/cd player, iPod dock, and a dvd/video player (and a collection of DVD’s and CD’s) and lots of books. The dining table has seating for four. There is a separate desk area with internet and WiFi (free of charge). There are games, art supplies, and other kid friendly items available (even an electric keyboard), but the home is not child-proofed for very young children.
There is a fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher and every appliance you could need, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, popcorn maker, etc and use of the pantry, stocked with all your cooking essentials, so no need to buy coffee or tea or sugar for your morning drink or those essential spices. etc to cook with if you aren't eating out.
The space has a combo bathtub/shower for soaking in after a long day sightseeing.
There are two air-conditioned bedrooms in the space that face the back yards so they don't get much street noise and are sunny.
One bedroom has a double bed and a TV. The second bedroom (which you walk through to get to the first one) has a twin loft bed and a desk. The bedrooms are very small. There is also a folding bed available that can be used in the living room if you need a place for a 4th person.
There is a same day service drop-off Laundromat on the block . I provide two sets of clean linens and towels for guests to use.
The space available is on the third floor of a private 4 story 100 year old brownstone (you need to walk up two flights of stairs to get to the space and there is no elevator).
Other useful information: Warning for those with dog allergies - There is a very small and friendly dog that lives in the building, but will not share the space with you, unless you invite her in.
I also provide a guide as to where to find everything you might need in the neighborhood, from the local cheese shop, farmers markets, and best take-out food, just ask and I can tell you where to find it.
Please note: The space does not come with parking. There is limited street parking and garages in the neighborhood.
Nothing to complain about! A nice place to stay in NY.
we were to NYC from Boston, This apartment has a great location in the city, you can walk to Soho, Noho, Chinatown, Nolita and even the financial district. The subway stations are very close, and if you walk a little bit to Union Square you take the red line to Northern Manhattan. it is great if you can not stay many days at NYC and you have to count all the minutes you have in the city. The apartment is great for three or four people, it has a comfortable dinning room with a big sofa. The beds are mainly two (one is a loft bed and the other one is a double) but the host can provide you an inflatable one that is very comfortable too,
I have enjoyed staying in Jodi's place. She was very responsive and considerate. Most importantly the location cannot be better than this. It was safe and literally you can find everything within several minutes on foot.
