Charming and Peaceful Base
Welcome to Urbanización Rosamar, also known as Canyet de Mar, the charming coastal town within the municipality of Santa Cristina d'Aro. Nestled amidst a nature reserve, this small residential area boasts approximately 400 properties. During the summer, this village springs to life, offering a delightful blend of tourists and locals without becoming overcrowded. All properties are perched on hills overlooking the Mediterranean, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere, particularly in the spring and autumn when the beaches are nearly deserted, and traffic is minimal. Rosamar at its finest.
Rosamaravilla, located just 200 meters from the beach and 200 meters from Carretera de Tossa, is the perfect launching pad to explore the Costa Brava. It's only an hour's drive north of Barcelona or 45 minutes from Girona.
Urbanización Rosamar
Within a short 200-meter stroll from the residence, you'll discover two beautiful small beaches, separated by the picturesque Punta Canyet. The main beach boasts a chiringuito (beach bar) offering a surprisingly extensive menu, including freshly prepared local dishes, perfect for savoring with your feet in the sand. However, the best-kept secret in the village is Restaurant Rosamar, located just 200 meters from the villa, recently ranked among the top 50 restaurants in Spain.
New to Rosamar is Brave Coast Divers, a PADI-certified diving school now located directly on Rosamar Beach. They offer scuba diving courses, guided dives, and equipment rentals for all experience levels — the perfect way to explore the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters and the stunning rocky reefs right off the coast.
Additionally, a beautiful path with bridges leads to the inner reefs in the bay, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling. In the vicinity of Rosamar, you'll encounter numerous secluded coves and beaches, ensuring tranquility even during the high season.
Markets
Every Sunday morning, the market at El Paseo in Sant Feliu de Guíxols offers a wide array of food, products, arts, and crafts. Set your alarm early, as it opens at 8 am and closes at 2 pm. Additionally, Sant Feliu hosts a daily market in the village center by the sea, featuring a variety of seasonal products. Housed in a beautifully restored 1930s building, you'll find fresh fish, meats, fruits, vegetables, and freshly prepared meals. There's even a playground for kids and a bar/restaurant on the first floor. On the market square, you'll be captivated by the vibrant colors and enticing scents of high-quality vegetables showcased by farmers from the nearby Vall d'Aro.
Historic Sites
Tossa de Mar is a charming town well worth visiting for its cultural attractions, shopping, and excellent restaurants, most of which are situated on the ascent toward the castle. The Castle of Tossa de Mar is a true open-air museum with its 12th-century remains.
Cadaqués is renowned as one of the most beautiful villages on the Costa Brava — formerly a fishing village and famously the home of Salvador Dalí.
With its labyrinthine streets, the famous Romanesque bridge (dating back to the 12th century!), and the medieval city gate, Besalú is one of Catalonia's most captivating villages, making it a popular day trip destination.

Girona is a fantastic city and is home to numerous bike shops, professional cycling teams, and international triathletes like Jan Frodeno. You'll also find some exceptional bike cafés, such as Christian Meier's La Fabrica and Hors Categorie, co-owned by Robert Gesink. Don't forget to take a walk along the completely renovated castle wall.
Playa de Aro is a quintessential Spanish holiday village bustling with activity, especially during the summer. It features a children’s amusement park, a wide variety of restaurants, bars, clubs, charming boutiques, and traditional Spanish shops. Playa de Aro has all that you need and more to experience the vibrant energy of Spanish coastal life.
Activities in the Area
No need to fret if you have a day without training scheduled. This area offers a plethora of opportunities for enjoyment. Just 4 kilometers from the residence, you'll find the Aventura Adventure Park.
If you're interested in scuba diving, you now have two fantastic options: Brave Coast Divers right on Rosamar Beach, and Hotel Eden Roc in Sant Feliu de Guíxols. You can also charter a sailing boat and explore the coastline from the sea.
Golf enthusiasts are in luck, as Playa de Aro is home to the internationally acclaimed Golf D’Aro resort. In Sant Feliu, you can book a kayak excursion or try bouldering — climbing above the water — at Break Away SFG. For a more tranquil day, various locations in town offer yoga classes. Festivals & Nightlife
During the summer, the region offers even more entertainment. Don't miss Porta Ferrada, an annual festival held in a stunning harbor location, featuring performances by renowned artists.
In Sant Feliu de Guíxols, the first week of August sees the celebration of Fiesta Mayor, a traditional event with Spanish artist performances and spectacular fireworks on the closing day.
You'll also find year-round options, such as the Cuban bar Juanita Banana, where the owner crafts the most delectable mojitos and cocktails. Near the harbor, Corsari Bar is a popular local hotspot, perfect for meeting with friends after work or on weekends. Additionally, the town boasts numerous music bars, ensuring that the nightlife never stops.
Tourist Tax & Safety Deposit
We would like to inform you about some important details regarding your stay with us. As part of the local regulations, we are required to collect a tourist tax, amounting to €1.10 per person per night. This tax is not included in the cost of your reservation and will be billed separately during your stay.
Additionally, we require a mandatory security deposit of €300. This deposit will be charged prior to your stay and refunded upon your departure, provided that no damages are identified and the property is left in good condition. Please note that the refund of the deposit is subject to inspection of the property after your departure and confirmation that everything is in order.
