This charming period style house is set in a relatively quiet situation, up a short slope, yet is only 400 yards from the High Street of the old market town of Skipton, the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
The house has been modernised but has kept some of its original features with stripped pine woodwork and period style fireplaces. It has been very comfortably and tastefully furnished and well equipped, with most of the furnishings being new, to provide excellent holiday accommodation.
This house is centrally situated within the town and makes a superb base for visiting the many delights Skipton has to offer, which include a medieval castle and church. For the tourist the Dales, York and even the Lake District are readily accessible.
For public transport users there are regular train services from the station which is only a 10 minute walk. Skipton Bus Station is situated in the town centre, a 5 minute walk.
Skipton is well served by both train and bus. There are trains to Leeds and Bradford and also access to the famous Settle to Carlisle line. There are regular bus services to Bradford and Leeds and also Burnley and Preston.
Other Things to Note

We had a great stay in Skipton. The property was ideal for us as we are a family of five with two parents, two children and Grandad. Skiptons a great location for travelling about through the region and looking at things locally.
We had a very comfortable stay in Skipton and the house met the needs of our diverse group. We were able to gather round the big table in the kitchen dining room which was bright and overlooked the cosy patio with its table and chairs just waiting for slightly higher temperatures than we enjoyed. The flat is located really close to the main street and canal where we enjoyed an evening walk but also ideal for trips out. We took in the Harrogate Spring Flower Show, the artistic delights of Saltaire and the latest there from David Hockney. We made several trips to Bradford for high standard Asian cuisine and the amazing shopping experience of Bombay Stores. We found everything for own home cooking too and found the house spacious, warm and secure. Perfect for us.
I am a Director of Holiday Cottages (Yorkshire) Ltd who own and maintain a lovely house in Skipton. The house is just 150 yards from our office so we can personally look after all our guests.
