Description

The space

This charming, historic bungalow is located in the up and coming neighborhood of Sylvan Hills/Capitol View, very close to Marta ( Oakland City Station, 3 stops south of downtown). Driving? I am just 15 minutes north of the airport and 5 minutes south if downtown. Also super convenient to I-75/I-85 and I-20. Relax and recharge in this well appointed spa-like private room with a very comfortable queen sized bed dressed in quality cotton linens. Guests enjoy the convenience of a having their very own vanity pedestal sink in each of the private bedrooms, while the main bathrooms are shared. Free street parking, wifi, and laundry are always available to guests. The combination of high ceilings, spacious airy rooms, original architectural details, clean modern designs mixed with antiques, hand crafted items, natural elements, hardwood floors. I am easy going, really enjoy hosting and just want every guest to have the best experience possible. There are 3 large, sweet, clean and extremely cute and friendly dogs here that help us co-host. When booking a Queen room, you may be staying at one of my 3 homes in the neighborhood. All have the same basic amenities and decor.

The host was super nice, but the room was not ready on arrival. Other than that the room was nice and clean and we had a very pleasant stay!

I can't say enough good things about this space! Beautiful vintage furniture mixed with modern amenities. Spacious, comfortable and well thought out. At first glance the neighborhood looks a little rough, but was happily completely undisturbed through the night (including my car, the street is actually really well lit). The host was able to accommodate a slightly early check in and the rule list / wifi info was super helpful!

My experience here was great: The house was clean, comfortable and located in a quiet residential neighborhood walking distance from a metro station. The room was cozy, and the backyard was fun in the mornings/evenings (with a fire). Oh, and the dogs were super cute. Tracy was welcoming and informative, and the other guests were very friendly. Would definitely recommend for anyone going to the Shaky Knees Festival next year.

Came to Atlanta for a conference so this was a great location very walk-able to public transit. Just a few stops on the Marta and I was downtown! I stayed in a super spacious room with a desk so was able to unwind easily between conference days.

I actually enjoyed my stay here I didn't want to leave or get out of the bed at all! Except I realized I had to get up and get on with my life! Lol so peaceful here --- Neighborhood not the best but it was on the end of the street away from the rest of the Neighborhood and downtown is literally 10 mins away. The dogs were so sweet and loving!! And for bonus the smell of a REAL pine Christmas tree was a wonderful touch to end my holiday season in Atlanta. Nice I wouldn't mind staying again. And the Host are very responsive to any issues or concerns you may have.

Vintage Bungalow User ProfileVintage Bungalow is a superhost.

Easy going and creative....enjoy cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, all things vintage, history, architectural preservation, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and try to find beauty in all things. Love to have fun and not take life too seriously. Enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture at all. Love to buy houses and fix them up. Have quite a few places where we host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible. When staying in a private room, you will be in a room in one of our houses, most likely, there will be a couple of canine co-hosts in the house as well, so loving dogs is a must! Our properties are in lower income, inner city neighborhoods where real, local ATLiens live. You won't see many tourists around, mostly, just typical working class folks who love to sit on the front porch and unwind as part of Southern culture. We always say hello to each other in passing, so please be friendly and observe our friendly custom when encountering locals, they will appreciate the gesture. Locals typically enjoy meeting and helping out-of-towners. Because we are in a lower income, less traveled neighborhood, we can offer stylish, affordable accommodations to travelers on a budget. Also, for travelers relying on public transportation, we are on the Marta line conveniently situated halfway between the Airport and downtown. The rates are very reasonable and not subject to negotiation. Rates, terms, and policies are fixed and applied equally to all guests. We look forward to hosting you one day soon.
