The Space

This charming, historic bungalow is located in the up and coming neighborhood of Sylvan Hills/Capitol View, very close to Marta ( Oakland City Station, 3 stops south of downtown). Driving? I am just 15 minutes north of the airport and 5 minutes south if downtown. Also super convenient to I-75/I-85 and I-20. Relax and recharge in this well appointed spa-like private room with a very comfortable queen sized bed dressed in quality cotton linens. Guests enjoy the convenience of a having their very own vanity pedestal sink in each of the private bedrooms, while the main bathrooms are shared. Free street parking, wifi, and laundry are always available to guests. The combination of high ceilings, spacious airy rooms, original architectural details, clean modern designs mixed with antiques, hand crafted items, natural elements, hardwood floors. I am easy going, really enjoy hosting and just want every guest to have the best experience possible. There are 3 large, sweet, clean and extremely cute and friendly dogs here that help us co-host. When booking a Queen room, you may be staying at one of my 3 homes in the neighborhood. All have the same basic amenities and decor.

  • All reasonable. Other guests were lovely. Tracy is a great host!

  • To start with, Tracy was amazing! She was able to accommodate me on very short notice for a longer stay after a different reservation fell through, and during my stay she was a fantastic host and made me feel very welcome (especially over the winter holidays - Thanksgiving was tons of fun!). We frequently chatted and had dinner together and with other airbnb renters, and she was kind enough to invite me on outings to help with shopping and her ongoing renovations of a few other properties she has (she is also a great interior designer, and it was really cool to learn some of the basics about home renovation and aesthetic design). Her two pups were also super sweet and kept me company during my days off from work - and also welcomed me back whenever I got in!

The two rooms that I ended up staying in were comfortable, clean, and gorgeous, and the kitchen was large and well-outfitted for whenever I felt like a little home cooking. There was a rotation of other airbnb renters as well, and I met some amazing people during my stay - everyone was great and fun to get along with, and I had some pretty in-depth conversations during the evenings.

I also really loved how close to the Marta station I was - just a short five minute walk, and though the surroundings were a little run down I never felt unsafe to make the trek anytime. The house I stayed in was right on the edge of a quiet little neighborhood. There's just not much in the way of local shopping, which was what made the Marta station great - I could get back home from the Midtown station Publix pretty quickly.

For anybody looking for a short or long term stay, I definitely recommend staying here!

  • Lovely home, lovely host, not the best neighborhood but close to Marta

  • Tracy's house is the most beautiful house I have ever stayed in. The wooden floors and pathway, inviting ambience, soothing music and her 2 adorable pets make it a perfect home. I had the privilege of staying for a week and I must admit it was a comfortable and memorable stay. Tracy is an amazing host, very friendly, always smiling and cheerful. A recommended stay for any traveller looking to have a memorable stay

  • Tracy was a great host during our one-month stay. The house is nice and quiet and Tracy has appointed it well. It's an older house, and has a few quirks, but nothing to worry about. She is very easy-going and welcoming. There are two great dogs who live at the house and present basically zero problems-- we loved having them around. Our only complaint worth considering is that the location is quite a bit off the beaten path. You are several miles (or train stops) from a decent restaurant, grocery store, etc. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Thanks, Tracy!

  • Tracy was very accommodating and her place was very nice. The house was very close to the MARTA rail station. I would recommend for no one to walk alone to the station but that's just common safety practice. I managed to walk alone with very little trouble. I had the greatest time downtown at DragonCon and I only wish I had time to stop by the Ikea. The experience was made all the better because of Tracy!

  • - I just finished a 6 week stay at Tracy's house in Atlanta. I truly enjoyed myself throughout my entire stay. Tracy was very friendly, outgoing, and always quick to help if I needed anything. She did a great job of making the bedrooms and the house as comfortable as possible, to the point of being as comfortable as if you were living at home. Also while I was there I got to meet some great guests that were passing through and some of her cool friends that came by. Lastly she has two great dogs mayfield and verruca that were great company throughout the stay. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who needs short-term or long term rentals.
    Thanks again for everything,
    Richard Ulrich

  • Tracy's house is a lovely remodel of a 1920's home. Great kitchen and the bedroom was a nice size. It is a shared bathroom with 2-3 others. Tracy was excellent at communicating and quick with responses to questions. The location is in SW Atlanta and was very close to where I was working, so it worked well for me. There are not many restaurants within walking distance, so it's better if you have a car. The metro is only a few blocks away.

  • I stayed in Tracy's new house, and I had a great experience. The house is located close to the MARTA station, only a 5-10 minute walk away. From the station, I was able to go everywhere I needed to go, including the airport. I stayed there for a week and didn't have to rent a car. Everything was exactly as she described. The bedroom I stayed in was very nice, and there was a big desk that was perfect to use as a workstation. Tracy was a great hostess and even made me a cup of coffee upon my arrival. She also gave me some great ideas for places to visit in my spare time. I will definitely stay with Tracy if I come back to Atlanta.

Easy going, creative type. I like cooking, entertaining, local, organic food, yoga, good wine, lots of good music, art, film, animals, nature, sailing, the ocean, traveling, calm and tranquil spaces, and I try to find beauty in all things. I like to have fun and not take life too seriously. I enjoy hosting and meeting new friends from all cultures and backgrounds and don't really follow the mainstream of American culture much at all. I am a realtor and love to buy houses and fix them up. I have quite a few places where I host guests and try to be as accommodating as possible, so you will also have a co-host, Forrest. and his handsome pooch, Odin, here to make sure your stay if a great one.
