  • We had a great stay, the room is great, perfect spot in the city. Well received and shown all the necessary details of the apartment and our room. Even extras with map and guide book to guide us on our exploration of the city. Very friendly and well organized host! thank you. Also the apartment is well decorated, with positive vibes, we felt right at home. The only thing i would say to people thinking of staying in this area is that the streets are very narrow.. which is what is so beautiful with the area, but also makes for noise to reverberate.. so when people walk late at night you hear them. This is true for any place in this area of course... and on the flip side, there are no cars, so you never hear traffic which is fantastic! If you are sensitive to noise, just know that the odd person walking late at night with heels and talking to friends will be heard.. Like i said, this will be true of any apartment in this area. I totally recommend this place.

    Thank you Jean-Marc!

  • Perfect location for getting to know Barcelona. Plenty of things to see and do within a short walk. The apartment was great, just the right size, set up perfectly, and ideally suited to accommodate several people at the same time. Luke, was very helpful and Violette was charming. If you are looking for the perfect Barcelona experience, this is a place to consider.

  • This would have been a 5 star had it not been for a slight hitch at the beginning of our stay (there had been a breakdown in communication between Violeta/Luke and our room was not ready). Nonetheless, a lovely room and comfy bed. A perfect location in a bustling area of Barcelona. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper, especially at the weekend!

  • I traveled with my boyfriend and brother, and I have to say about the rooms is that: great place, perfect location. Host more than perfect. Full experience of Barcelona. Near bars, restaurants, clubs and Barceloneta. Thank you, Violeta, Luke and staff! We felt at home!

  • We stayed in Born for 4 days and the apartment is the perfect location for exploring Barcelona, specially dining out.

Our host was informative, professional and excited for our stay.

  • Alex greeted us and took great care of us. The apartment was lovely and just as described. We were moved mid week to another apartment due to an overbooking but that apartment, while brand new, was lovely as well.

El Borne is the best! I wouldn't stay in any other neighborhood if I return to Barcelona. It's beautiful, bustling, and the local Mercat de Santa Caterina cannot be beat.

I'm afraid our stay was slightly dampened by our "roommate's" unwillingness to interact with us. We only spoke to her on the last day of our stay as we were walking out the door and that was only because we were forced to take some dishes into the kitchen where she was holed up behind the door. It made things slightly awkward given that we knew someone was in the small apartment but always shuffling from one closed door to another.

I'd certainly stay here next time, I'd just be prepared for a hyper shy roommate.

  • Luke was the host and did his job formidably. The apartment was Violet's whom we didn't see much. Everything was ok although some problems with the drain in the bath, and food and dirty dishes left out in the kitchen was a bit annoying.

Thank Sanne to have given me this feed back. I will talk to Violet and make sure that these things won't happen again.

  • I loved my stay in Barcelona. Luke was very helpful. Before I arrived he provided helpful guidance on how to get from the airport to the apartment. The apartment is located in the center of El Born walking distance to everything including the nearby market, restaurants, shops, and sights. My apartment housemate/host was Violeta. I really enjoyed my stay because Violeta was very kind and helpful. I rented two rooms. They were very spacious, clean and charming. The apartment is an old building with a lot of charm. The bed is very comfortable, everything was lovely. Because the apartment is central to town there is a lot of activity but that is what makes it cool. Thank you Violeta, I really enjoyed my stay and meeting you. Until next time.

  • Bel appart, bien situé, à 5 mn du métro Jaume I. Juste penser à apporter des boules Quiès car les nuits barcelonaises peuvent être un peu bruyantes. Je recommande !
