Didn't have a chance to meet Rob, but his housemate Alex was super kind and helpful with tips on dinner and touring the surrounding town. The house was beautiful, with nice character, but it was a little chilly! Loved the sourdough chocolate bread :)
Rob was a fantastic host. The house was beautiful and clean, and his dog Pumpkin was delightful. In the morning, Rob provided fresh sourdough bread and was great company. We highly recommend staying here, and will definitely be back in the future.
Rob's house is beautiful. I appreciated the oak mouldings and floors, the fine staircase. The bed was comfy, the room spacious. The kitchen is well supplied, and there are porches in the front and back as well as a yard. We were very happy there, and happy to be so close to Tanglewood, our destination. We didn't get to meet Rob, but his Mom, who helps take care of the house, was delightful and totally helpful.
Good pricing. Good, very quiet location between Great Barrington/Egremont and Stockbridge/Lenox, etc.
Rob is a friendly host and has thought of everything to make your visit easy - You can concentrate on your activities not on lodging.
Lovely garden, easy to find, and very well situated. This is a beautiful old house with a big comfy bed, and I regret I didn't meet Rob or the dog! Would definitely stay here again.
My room at Rob's house was in pristine condition, as was the bathroom. The location is prime for Tanglewood and the area museums. It was also extremely quiet. Even though I didn't meet Rob, he always responded promptly to my questions. This is a great deal in an expensive area.
This old Victorian house is full of New England charm. it's close to the major Berkshire attractions but reasonably priced. Rob, and in his absence, his mother, both, are friendly and informative. The house is very clean, and breakfast is plentiful. Fortunately it was not hot and humid, when we stayed in early August as there was no air conditioning . The Berkshires are usually pleasant in the summer. Its an intriguing stop, with plenty cof New England charm, and we recommend a stay there. Take a look at the many intriguing architectural features of the house and neighborhood.
The room was lovely and Rob's mom greeted us and made us feel right at home. The entire home and the bathrooms were impeccably clean. I would absolutely stay there again ! Thanks Rob.
Rob was a great host. the room was comfortable, the house was spotless, and the location can't be beat for access to attractions. A truly great value for the money.
(2nd room booked separately, but review same as other room----no problems, great host.)
