Make all your wishes come true in this beautiful handcrafted home. Decorated with amazing antiques, come sample a taste of Kentucky life. Surrounded by country, but close enough to drive to all the interesting places, only 30 minutes from Cincinnati and the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. Only 1 1/2 hours near Whiskey Trail and Kentucky Horse Farms

The space
This house was hand built by my brother and decorated with years of love by my mother. Everything you need to feel at home. From a waffle iron to coffee maker, this could be your new home away from home. Set in the middle of an 80 acres forest, peacefulness is all you will hear, unless you encounter the occasional deer or turkey. Set high on top of a hill, the view overlooks the Licking River.

Guest access
There is a hiking trail around the property, just outside the door. It is marked by pink ribbons on the trees. Make sure that you stay on the trail because there are often hunters in the woods. Practice caution and wear bright colors. Be aware we have had issues with the Ash Borer, so there could be falling trees. You are welcome to all areas of the house, except the basement. You can even have a picnic outside or walk through the woods to our campsite and roast some marshmallows.

Other things to note
This is meant to be a peaceful retreat for you to come and relax. There are plenty of books, games and TV. For stays less than a week, we provide yogurt, granola and fruit for breakfast. Please also note, there is a local diner only a mile away and fast food within a ten minute drive. There is everything you need to prepare your own lunch or dinner, as long as you provide the groceries.

I was lucky enough to travel the world for a year when I graduated from college. I love to travel, to experience new flavor, new sights and make new friends. I spent most of my life as a chef and I find food very important in my travels. I opened MozzaPi, restaurant in Louisville, Kentucky, which we built from the ground up, brick by brick. I then decided I needed a career change, so I now teach classes in my hand built log cabin and sell real estate. I live by the motto - Create the life you choose.

During your stay
My parents will act as your hosts. They live at the bottom of the hill, so they will be there if you have any questions. They love to visit and share the history of the land, or feel free to come help pull some weeds from their garden or pick a few blackberries. We sometimes have a cookout at the campfire, so let us know if you would like us to try to get together.
