Closed for the Season - We Open in May for the 2022 Season

Enjoy a novelty stay at our personal, 40 acre Sculpture Park with spectacular mountain views in all directions providing beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The tipi is set up with a bed with fresh linens and a small seating area inside. There is a private outdoor space at the tipi site as well as a near by common area which offers a shaded patio furnished with more comfy seating through out

The space
Max Occupancy is 2 Adults - Not Suitable for Children or Infants

*** There is a propane powered Buddy Heater to make night time temperatures more temperate for our Spring guests. ***

The 18' tipi has a small deck with a metal swing/bench as well as a large picnic table and a firepit with 2 Adirondack chairs around it. The entrance is a double zipper door with an inner screen. Additionally, the bottom of the tipi is lined with a critter guard. There is an actual floor, as well as a 6ft liner and an ozan to catch any rain that may trickle in from the top.

The tipi is set up for two guests to sleep on a queen sized bed. Colorful, cotton linens are provided for your comfort as well as additional blankets. There is a night stand on each side of the bed with a small led light. There is a mat and a shoe tray at the entrance to help keep the space relatively free of sand/dirt.

There is also a small sitting area inside with two sitting pillows on a rug. This is a canvas tent so keep in mind that when its windy or rainy out, all of that will effect the sound inside (canvas swaying in the wind, raindrops hitting the outside etc.) but that's also part of the unique experience of camping in this type of structure.

*The property is off-grid and does not yet have any running water or electricity - this may change in the future. The bathroom is an eclectic outhouse with a composting toilet.*

Where you’ll be

Mosca, Colorado, United States

Our property is nestled in a remote, rural section of the world's largerst high dessert, alpine valley which lies above 7,500ft. It is 25 minutes from the town of Alamosa and 35 minutes from the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Much of the area is covered by low growing chico bush and small dunes with native grasses and plants, revealing unobstructed mountain views in all directions. The Sangre de Cristo Mountains are seen to the East and the San Juan Mountains to the West. Some of Colorado's tallest mountains tower in the distance, including Mt Blanca - the 4th tallest peak. The valley's unique properties create dramatic sunsets and sunrises. And the night sky is one of the darkest in the State as this area is classified as a dark sky region where people flock to enjoy stargazing on a clear, moonless night.

I am the owner of the 40 acre Mystic Valley Sculpture Park in Mosca, Colorado near the Great Sand Dunes National Park. I live in the San Juan Mountains with my creative and life partner Kyle and our two young sons. Together we have created all the sculpture in the park and are slowly growing our vision of a remote, private, inspirational place that we can share with occasional art and nature enthusiasts. Currently we offer our tiny A Frame, an 18' tipi as well as a remodeled vintage camper to a select group of guests.
