Fully furnished 2 bedroom apartment with all amenities needed for travel or temporary housing. Located just north of Providence and 45 minutes south of Boston.

The Space

Renovated, 2 bedroom, second floor apartment. Previous full time rental, converted into a private guest / yoga studio space. I live and work on the first floor and teach workshops upstairs when not renting the space out to guests. The apartment uses the back entrance and is separate from the first floor. Both entrance and parking to the apartment space is actually on Suffolk Ave. which is located at the back of the house.

Primary guest room accommodates two with a real bed and a new luxury mattress. (Closet and dresser space is available) Large shower/bath. ( I provide towels ) Private use of galley kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need; pantry basics, dishes - pots and pans, microwave, blender etc. Coffee / tea, breakfast foods and snacks available. Wireless internet, basic TV (Major networks and local channels) and DVD player.

The space is a two bedroom apartment. When the extra bedroom is needed I set up a high rise luxury queen size air mattress topped with memory foam for extra comfort. (Many guests have said this is as comfortable as a real bed)

I can also set up additional air mattresses in the large living room space for family's and big groups. Please note that the living room area is used as a yoga studio when not renting so the furniture has to be minimal and moveable. There is plenty of seating available including a yogabo couch, which is very comfortable but sits on the floor, a folding recliner, back-jacks, meditation cushions, folding chairs and stools.

I do request at least a two day booking when setting up extra beds as set up, break down, clean up and overhead increases greatly. I have found this to be too much extra work for just a one day stay. The fee for extra people covers my time and extra overhead. When booking, please let me know if you are couples staying two in a bed or if you need a bed set up for each individual. I may be able to offer you a discounted rate for couples staying more then 2 nights as the set up is easier.

Kids are welcome as long as they are quiet (I work down stairs with clients who come to relax!) The extra $30 per person fee does apply to children as well as adults. I have let children stay for free in the past and have found that childproofing and clean up after kids have visited takes a lot more effort and time. I am always willing to discuss certain situations and negotiate fees appropriately.

Amenities for extra bedding include: 2 high profile (high quality with baffles) queen size air mattresses that I pad with a futon or memory foam for extra comfort. I also have a queen and single low profile air mattresses suitable for kids.

Read or relax in the fenced in private patio with gardens in summer. Fully equipped yoga space if you wish to practice. There is also a TV and a movable bean bag couch in the living room/yoga space.

I have pets but they are not allowed in the second floor space so it is allergen free. Sorry, no guest pets allowed. Absolutely no smoking as well.

Washer and dryer is available for long term guests only. I have not added an extra cleaning fee as to keep the space more affordable so please try to be mindful and leave everything as you found it. Monthly/long term fee is negotiable depending on the circumstance. Please contact me and we can discuss a special offer. Extra $5 fee as indicated on the calendar, is added on in winter and summer to cover heat and air.

I may also be available to share yoga practice or book a shiatsu, massage or bodywork / coaching session in my first floor office.

The space is available for teaching workshops as well as housing workshop guests.

I am located 1 mile off of route 95, 10 minutes north of Providence, RI. It is a 45 minute drive east to Newport, RI and less then an hour drive, or train ride, north to Boston, Ma.

It is 1 mile down the street to the South Attleboro train station and I am also on the local bus line. (Check RIPTA for schedule)

The town park (Slater Park) is less then 1 mile away with walking and bike trail, paddle boats and carousel for kids. Also close to pubs, restaurants and grocery. RI visitor center is located in down town Pawtucket, 3 miles away. Check out the guidebook for other local attractions.

Guest Access

The access to the second floor is in the back of the house located on Suffolk Ave. The apartment is totally private during your stay.

Interaction with Guests

I interact as wanted and needed. Every situation is different and I want each guest to get the most out of their stay. Most days I am downstairs in my living space or working with clients in my home based office.

  • Nancy was a great host! She was flexible with her schedule and was gracious enough to let us check-in when it was convenient for us. The apartment is so relaxing and it feels like home the moment you walk in! I would highly recommend staying with Nancy if you get a chance.

  • Nancy's home is very spacious and colorfully decorated. She encourages her guests to relax and be reflective in her upstairs floor. The kitchen has breakfast items and is fully stocked to cook a meal. Her place is spacious for a family with the two bedrooms. bathroom, kitchen and living/eatting areas. She is a very receptive, accommodating and informative hostess. Nancy is a healer as well as a hostess, so I toke advantage of her services. She uses many techniques to assist is the stress reduction etc. The community is blessed to have her both as a healer and a hostess. (I was female traveling on my own so I feel fortunate to have found her place and services)

  • This apart was great!! Relaxing, clean, spacious and comfortable. Nancy greeted us when we got there and was very informative. Everything you could possibly need was in the apart. It's on a busy street but we found it to be relaxing and the neighborhood was safe. I would recommend this apart to anyone and you won't be disappointed!!

  • Found Nancy's 2nd floor apt. quite spacious, very clean, the bed was comfortable (and I'm hard to please)! Although located on a main road, car traffic slowed down during the night and slept through the night without any disturbance. Met Nancy briefly who is lovely! So, I highly recommend this Airbnb rental!

  • Nancy is very helpful and a wonderful host. Her space has great energy and care has been put into it. Plenty of space for relaxing, a kitchen with tea and coffee, refrigerator and everything you need to make a meal. The entire apartment was very clean. Though it is on a busy road the traffic isn't so bad at night and we slept very well. All in all a wonderful stay and I would stay there again.

  • This was a great space for us to visit family in Providence. My husband and I stayed there with our adult daughter and the apartment was very convenient, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and a great beanbag type couch to lounge on and watch movies. We cooked and relaxed and our son and his wife and daughter came over to hang out with us. It was a nice place to gather for Christmas.

  • The apartment was just what we needed for sleeping space. There were 3 couples. nancy made up the 2 air matresseses in such a way that they were as comfortable as real beds. The place was very clean and we had mostly everything we needed to prepare a couple of breakfasts. We made ourselves comfortable on the floor cushions provided......truthfully would have preferred a little more seating / funiture for watching tv, and being a tv watching family, cable would have been nice for our 'down time'. But all in all we were very pleased and appreciated everything Nancy did to make us comfortable!

    Response from Nancy:

Thanks for your feedback! I hope to make everyone's experience the best possible and I am always willing to make improvements.

For future guests: Please note that the living room area is used as a yoga studio when not renting so the furniture has to be minimal and moveable. There is plenty of seating available including a yogabo couch, which is very comfortable but sits on the floor, a folding recliner, back-jacks, meditation cushions, folding chairs and stools.

I have been trying to convince the cable company to extend my cable upstairs but where it is considered a separate residence and was rented full time in the past they want to make it a separate bill, which not does make it cost effective. It is set up to get all the major networks and local channels that are available. There is also a DVD player. If I keep getting feedback that it is wanted I can add it but will have to readjust the rent accordingly to cover the cost.

  • We loved staying at Nancy's place. She was so responsive and helpful and clear. The place itself is incredibly retreat-like, something very welcome near the tail end of a three month road trip. There's plenty of room to spread out. I'm not sure why anyone would find it noisy. It's super quiet. This is also a great location to see Providence from, which is a beautiful city. We also were delighted to take Nancy's recommendation to go to the Pawtucket theater, the Gamm. We've just been in New York City seeing theater and the play we saw there was easily on the same level as the off-broadway theater we saw in New York. I loved all the inspirational quotes around the house and felt like I was in a healing environment the whole time I was there. We also really appreciated that the kitchen had everything we needed in terms of pots, pans, and utensils as well as some pantry basics, so that we could have a rare home-cooked meal. We definitely would stay again!
