  • Fantastic experience - the apartment was stunning, our room / bathroom was large, clean and had everything we needed.

Sam and Linsey were awesome - fun, hospitable and helpful.

    Highly recommended!

  • I stayed at Linsey and Sam's place for 4 days. The place is excellent and beautifully furnished. Everything was large and bright, from my room to kitchen and living room.

Sam was very professional and helpful at the first contact over email. Both Linsey and Sam were really friendly and we had some very nice discussions and they answer promptly all my questions.

Location is OK. Its maybe not as nice as Lincoln park, but still worked very well for me. And its safe. Blue line (Chicago stop) is around 10-15 minutes walk, while Brown line (Ashland stop) is around 8-10 minutes away. Brown line was very convenient and fast going downtown. Nearby (2-3 minutes away) is a bus stop down the Ashland av that takes you to the nearby Wicker park. It was also convenient to visit a United center for a game of hockey (around 20-25 minutes walk). There are some nice restaurants around and an organic shop (sadly with limited choice).

And yes, i would stay again without any doubt!

  • We had a wonderful stay. Pleasant hosts, a super nice breakfast place right at the doorstep, 10 minute walk from the blue line, and some nice restaurants in the neighborhood.
The house is amazing, very open and quite tastefully designed. Sam and Linsey were very gracious with our requests and also very hospitable.
Great place and I'd recommend it highly.

  • I stayed with Linsey & Sam for the entire month of January while I transitioned from Boulder to Chicago. They are awesome people who live in a huge, classy space and have the coolest Golden Doodle ever (his name is Eli and he is the jam).

If you are looking for a place to stay near the West Loop, this is it. I can't recommend these two highly enough. They are awesome roomies, and just generally super solid people.

  • Had a great stay in Chicago! The apartment is huge and really beautiful. Sam wasn't at home during my stay, but he was very communicative via e-mail and phone. Also his roommate was very helpful! I'll definitely choose it again when I'm back in town. Thanks a lot!

  • I stayed here in the room for three weeks while I was waiting for the lease on my own apartment to begin. It worked out really well and I cannot recommend Sam's apartment strongly enough.

First, the apartment is really great. The pictures aren't able to convey how much space there is in there, or how big the windows are and how much light comes in. It's really great. The roof is also excellent, particularly at night when the almost totally uninterrupted view of the entire Chicago skyline is most dramatic.

Second, Sam is really, really great. Extremely friendly and welcoming without being at all intrusive, clean without being anal, generous, pleasant, and mellow. Also a very funny guy.

Finally, the dog is awesome. I recommend this place!

  • Sam's loft is located in an awesome area of the West Loop that is very calm and safe. There (email hidden) across the street called The Breakfast Club that looked really cute. The view from the loft is amazing! I could see all of the downtown skyline from my bedroom. There was also an awesome huge sculpture in the parking lot from Kavi Gupta gallery. The loft itself has high ceilings and lots of open space with very cool decor. Sam has very good taste!

Sam was a great guy, super laid back and cool. He had some great coffee (email hidden) for our morning coffee, and chatted with us before we had to leave. He also runs a community shared work space called The Coop which is quite close-by.

The room was spacious and we had our own bathroom. There were fresh towels in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The entire loft was very clean and smelled like essential oil! We watched some tv in the living room on the flat screen. He had a ton of movies for us to choose from. Why we watched something with Keanu Reeves I am not sure. I would definitely stay again any time! Thanks Sam!
