From the start Martina has been very easy to deal with. She was very responsive and eager to help with any question. Her apartment is gorgeous and comfortable, and the kitchen fully equiped. Her instructions were clear and simple, plus she suggested many nearby cafes and restaurants. You might have to drive a bit for groceries as the neighborhood is quite residential, but on the other hand the apartment is within walking distance to downtown Providence, which is a plus. All in all a very good experience, we are already missing that lovely deck!
Just got back from a lovely stay at Martina's beautiful apartment in Providence! The pictures really do not do her place justice. Martina's home is very comfortable, stylish, tastefully decorated, and spotless.
The apartment is located in an adorable neighborhood, conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and bus lines to/from downtown (which you could also walk to). Martina left us a list of nearby restaurants and bars, and we had the opportunity to enjoy a few of her recommendations (North, the Avery, 7 Stars Bakery) which were FANTASTIC.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Martina's and in Providence and would recommend both wholeheartedly! Thank you, Martina!
Martina's home was so lovely and comfortable. We loved the 3rd floor deck and the breeze coming in through the windows. The flowers and plantings on the property are beautifully cared for. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to come back to Providence and stay again. Martina was an excellent and accommodating hostess. I highly recommend!
We loved this apartment. Martina has it decorated very artfully. It was fun to look around at all of the unusual art pieces scattered throughout the apartment. The third floor walk-up is in a Victorian house in a colorful neighborhood right across from a large park. It is a pleasant 30 minute walk to the convention center. There is a huge open deck balcony with a view of the park. We ate dinner out on the deck each night. It was lovely.
She left us soap, shampoo, towels and had a hairdryer. Great cooks kitchen.
We rented the whole apartment when Martina was out of town, so we didn't actually meet her, but her communication was quick, thoughtful and she gave us all of the information we needed.
Martina's apartment was so very comfortable, clean, and well planned. She lives walking distance form nice cafes and only 2 miles from Brown University. And if, like us being from Los Angeles, you are not used to humidity, she has a great central air system! Even with three kids and having to walk up to the third floor of this 100-year-old Victorian, it was a great place to stay.
Martina's apartment is perfect for a family, with two bedrooms with double beds and a third, used as an office, with a twin bed. Everything was ready for our move in and Martina was quick to communicate whenever I had a question. She kindly allowed us to arrive a little early and even leave a little late. The apartment was spotless and well-equipped. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Martina!
We have just returned from our son's graduation from Brown, and feel so lucky to have been able to spend the week of graduation festivities at Martina's apartment! The surrounding area is delightful, with great restaurants, a beautiful park, and easy access to Downtown and College Hill; the building is historic and charming; and the apartment itself is immaculately clean, beautifully designed, fully outfitted with everything you could need, and totally comfortable. The weather was crazy -- everything from muggy heat to freezing rain -- but we were cozy and comfortable inside. The beds were excellent, the artwork delightful, and I could have happily spent a year just reading Martina's collection of books! We only met Martina briefly, but enjoyed our conversation, and really appreciated the tips she gave us about restaurants in the neighborhood, etc. All in all, we couldn't recommend Martina's apartment more highly, and hope to return there soon -- thank you, Martina!
