Martina's apartment was so very comfortable, clean, and well planned. She lives walking distance form nice cafes and only 2 miles from Brown University. And if, like us being from Los Angeles, you are not used to humidity, she has a great central air system! Even with three kids and having to walk up to the third floor of this 100-year-old Victorian, it was a great place to stay.
Martina's apartment is perfect for a family, with two bedrooms with double beds and a third, used as an office, with a twin bed. Everything was ready for our move in and Martina was quick to communicate whenever I had a question. She kindly allowed us to arrive a little early and even leave a little late. The apartment was spotless and well-equipped. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Martina!
We have just returned from our son's graduation from Brown, and feel so lucky to have been able to spend the week of graduation festivities at Martina's apartment! The surrounding area is delightful, with great restaurants, a beautiful park, and easy access to Downtown and College Hill; the building is historic and charming; and the apartment itself is immaculately clean, beautifully designed, fully outfitted with everything you could need, and totally comfortable. The weather was crazy -- everything from muggy heat to freezing rain -- but we were cozy and comfortable inside. The beds were excellent, the artwork delightful, and I could have happily spent a year just reading Martina's collection of books! We only met Martina briefly, but enjoyed our conversation, and really appreciated the tips she gave us about restaurants in the neighborhood, etc. All in all, we couldn't recommend Martina's apartment more highly, and hope to return there soon -- thank you, Martina!
My family and I loved staying in Martina's home in Providence during my sister's commencement weekend. The historic home was beautiful, and the apartment itself was very comfortable, with more than enough room for the four of us. Martina was accommodating with both timing and parking (providing spots for two cars). We were actually disappointed that we couldn't spend more time in the apartment and would be happy to stay again. Highly recommend!
Martina's place is lovely and comfortable. The pictures don't do it justice. She has beautiful art and beautiful touches all over the apartment. The beds are comfortable, it is airy and bright and although it is not located where all the action is, it is nice to come back from the action to a peaceful place in front of a park.
We had an awesome time in Providence. Biked 30 miles to Bristol and enjoyed the Water Fire. Art can spur all kinds of economic development in a city, I wish people would understand the power of art. Thank you Martina for providing us with your beautiful apartment to enjoy the magic of Providence.
Water Fire! My wife and I have been trying to get friends to join us for Water Fire for a number of years. The late night and slog of a drive home was always discouraging UNTIL we found this art filled, well appointed, spacious and generous living apartment of Martina's. We met our two friends at the house and fell in love with it immediately. She made available two parking spaces that come with the house that included her's since she was out-of-town. The neighborhood is diverse, families and children abound. We walked downtown about 20 mins. We saw all her favorite recommended haunts on the way. We enjoyed the magic of Water Fire, staying as late as we wanted. The beds were very comfortable. We breakfasted on the deck in the bright September sun, and the laughter of children playing in the park was the capping phrase to a great night and a great find! We will be back.
Martina's apartment is fantastic in all ways. my brother and i would have spent our entire time in Providence in her place, hanging out on the comfy sofas or the lovely deck or the cozy kitchen..that is *IF* she didn't also live (in my opinion) in the best area of Providence —on the west side near the Armory, walking distance to Nick's, Julian's, White Electric, 7-Star Bakery... it's also an easy walk to downtown. you will be spoiled for choice. the apartment itself is spacious, with a wonderful mix of modern design elements and fun personal details. Martina's a perfect, generous and communicative host - my brother and i are already discussing our next trip to visit her apartment.
A great host and a very nice apartment! It is comfortable, quiet, private and in a great neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat.
A unique apartment to stay if you are an art lover! We absolutely loved the atmosphere, and it is within walking distance from many great restaurants and art galleries.
