Joanna's place is very nice. It is located in an old (in a good way) building not too far from the center, but far enough to be calm. It is spacious, clean, well arranged and practical. Bathroom alone worth the stay :)
Joanna is a welcoming and nice person, and all together I am sure you will enjoy your stay!
Очень удобный вариант для размещения. Удобно для прогулок в центре. Комната уютная и красивая.
Joanna is a great host with an exciting flat in the perfect location - close to the centre and within walking distance to many other interesting places! If you want to get to know the best restaurants and cafés in Poznan but only have a couple of days, Joanna is the person to ask.
Joanna was a welcoming host and made coffee for me upon my arrival. I liked the style of apartment, particularly the bleached floor and general white colour palate. The bathroom has a kind of mediterranean feel with blue and white and mediterranean style floor tiles.
The bedroom was large with a table from which to work or do things. But in the corner was a large cardboard box holding other folded cardboard boxes, which made it feel ever so slightly like a storage room. Joanna welcomes guests to use the kitchen, which I did, both in the evening and the morning. Some wires protruding from the walls suggested that it is still a work-in-progress, but that did not affect my enjoyment of the space.
But unfortunately my stay was marred by severe problems with car parking. Joanna promised to help me with this, but it did not happen. So at 8am I went out to my car to try and find a way to pay for parking. Several options were supposedly available, of which none actually worked. Selection of English language was not maintained as the OK button was seemingly disabled. Trying to pay via SMS, which I am used to in other states, also did not work. So I phoned the help line, which only provided a recorded message in Polish language and then disconnected the call. I then sent an SMS message to Joanna seeking her assistance, but without reply. I tried asking passers-by for half an hour, but found no-one was able to help. I sent another message to Joanna and then left to try and find an ATM to which I had been directed by a local person. When I got there, the ATM did not work with international debit cards, so I proceeded in a different direction and eventually found another ATM of Nordea bank, which as it turned out was not accessible on weekends. I proceeded to walk further and ultimately found one that worked, after which I proceeded to a bakery to request change for parking and returned to the car. In total the effort took more than one hour, but worse caused stress that I would prefer to avoid. I received a parking ticket the previous day from another Airbnb stay, because the host did not know from where to obtain parking display cards.
I believe that Airbnb hosts must do more to help guests with car parking, particularly where it is problematic. In hindsight I wish I had stayed at a hotel where car parking would not have been a problem.
Joanna's apartment has some nice features, but on balance the negatives outweigh the positives, at least if you travel by car.
I'm really sorry to hear that Ashley had problems with paying for the car parking. Several guests before traveled by car and each one managed to do it alone without any problems.
Anyway I was obviously eager to help him with it, but unfortunatelly, at the time Ashley was seeking for my help, it was Saturday 8:00 in the morning and I was still sleeping, resting after the Fridays night out with friends. I didn't hear his sms either, because I turn off my phone everytime I go to sleep.
It is important to mention that Ashley is a nice, but definietely very demanding guest, a hard working businessman, requiering a 24hour hotel assistance.
As he claimed himself, he choosed airbnb accomadation not to make it more comfortable and easy for him, but mainly to have some company for the evening (he was traveling alone). Unfortunatelly, I allready had plans with my friends, so beside nice 1-hour chat I couldn't spend the rest of the evening with him, giving him my company, what I guess dissapointed him a little bit.
I did my best and tried to make his short staying enjoyable, but I'm not able to provide 24hour hosts service as hotels reception do. Please Ashley - remember about this next time.
Joanna offers a fantastic loft designed with a good sense for style, more than you could reasonably expect for that price. In plus, Joanna is a nice host welcoming you with cultivated conversation around a coffee and giving useful advises where to go in Poznan.
I really enjoyed my week staying with Joanna. The flat is fully renovated and decorated with taste and refinement. Everything was perfect.
Joanna is a nice person, very helpful and easy to talk to.
If you ask nicely, she might even tell you her secret place where you can find the best crème brûlée in Poznan.
I studied psychology but finally became a stylist:) Working on photo sessions and TV spots. Being quite busy last days because I`m working on opening my own small company witch is very exiting:) I can`t wait until my webside will be done! And I love traveling, hope I will have some more time for it soon:)
I'm looking forward to welcome and accommodate guests from all over the world!
