  • The flat has everything you need: an excellent kitchen, washing machine, wi-fi, cable TV and parking. From the outside, close to the subway, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. Any problems / questions were promptly answered by staff who strove to the maximum in help us. The place offers an excellent structure and the neighborhood is very quiet. It was a great experience! I recommend everyone with merit!

  • I have to say that this was not a good experience. I've communicated to the host our arrival time, but when we arrived on time, no one was there and all we saw on the gate was "DO NOT RING THE BELL". We waited 20 mins, then we text the host 3 times for the next 20 mins, no response. Then we called the host, and the Indian guy answered. It turned out that he didn't pay attention to the text message. All in all, we waited at the gate for an hour before we could check in! IT was at noon, we were wasting daylight! The host did not request us to call (in our email communications), I thought telling them our arrival time would be good enough just like all other hosts that I dealt with in the past.

The apartment has a strange smell mixed with cigarette, air freshener, and rotten garbage. There were more than a dozen big flies flying around. Luckily, they were gone the next day when the smell was gone. There were dead bugs on the bed too. We requested new sheets so we could change it.

When we came home at night, there was no hot water, we called the Indian guy to come fix it, that was another hour wait! When I emailed the host, she knew about the hot water problem.

The bathtub is stuck with hair, so the water drained very slowly and soaking 2-3 inches at the feet. Good thing we had sandals.

Having to waste 2 hours in a day is not good for us since we only had 2.5 days in Rome. Dealing with flies the first day and having a clogged bathtub for 2 days are not pleasant neither.

The Indian guy taught us how to use the washer/ dryer unit, but the clothes came out damp. He couldn't figure out how to dry. Luckily the host emailed me the instructions when I reported the problem.

The apartment is spacious and has nice view, it's just an easy train ride from the center of Rome, but it was hard for us to drag the luggage uphill for 15 mins! There is no way that we could drag the luggage through the park's uneven ground, we had to walk on the road that had fast driving cars, kind of scary.

My summary is that there shouldn't be so many things that we had to deal with. I used Airbnb through the world more than 10 times and I never had such bad experience.

  • Had a wonderful stay at M&K's. The place is lovely an clean and an excellent spot to escape from the touristy parts of Rome. Communication with M&K was very easy and they were very helpful in arranging our transport to the airport on our departure. Would highly recommend this place as long as you understand that it is a bit of a distance out of Rome so going out at night and getting home can be a little difficult.

  • It was a great stay at M&Ks. The apartment is very clean and has all ammenities. It was also close to some of the main attractions in Rome. Would go back.

  • Great apartment to stay. With a beautiful view to enjoy Rome.
    Highy recommended

  • Overall, our stay was very pleasant. The apartment was clean and comfortable. Karine gave us very thorough information and directions via email, and left us plenty of useful information at the apartment. Both check-in and check-out were easy. The terrace had a lovely view, and was nice for sipping wine at night or coffee in the morning. As other reviewers have said, the apartment is right by the highway, so it can be noisy, but I didn't find it to be disturbing at all.

The only issues we encountered were related to the location. The nearby Labaro station doesn't have overly frequent trains, so it could be inconvenient at times for going to and from the city. Once you get on the train though, it is fast. Also, while the directions say to get on either an urban or suburban train to get to Labaro station, note that this has possibly changed since they were written, as we found that only the urban trains stopped at this station. Finally, if you are coming with heavy suitcases, there is a very brief but very steep hill to walk before arriving at the apartment, so just be prepared for that.

Despite these few minor drawbacks, we very much enjoyed our stay at M&K apartments, and we would stay there again if we ever return to Rome!

  • The apartment was very nice and clean. They had everything we needed (blankets, towels, kitchenware, etc). Karine and Madea were incredibly helpful with finding super markets and restaurants and informing us of which trains to take if we wanted to go to certain sites. The location was perfect. Outside of the city but a really easy train ride right into the heart of Rome. I would definitely recommend staying at Karine & Madea's and would certainly stay there again if I returned to Rome.

  • It was easy to find and the host was very easy to contact with questions that arose. It is outside the city, but the train made it very easy to get directly into the heart of downtown. It was a beautiful, spacious apartment and we would stay there in the future.

  • We found everything as described and got good descriptions
on how to find the apartment. The connection to Piazza del Popolo
is good, but usually it takes a little longer than 15 minutes.
Our stay at the apartment was pleasant, if you do not mind the noise from the freeway. The white interior might not be the best choice, if you have so many people use the place.
All in all we enjoyed our stay.
