Other Things to Note

-IMPORTANT - unfortunately the Berlin Senate passed a law lately saying bookings made after 31.12.2013 will have an additional 5 % city tax. This goes to all bookings make in Berlin - hotels, hostels and vacation apartments, airbnb still doesn't have a system for this and so the payment must be in cash upon arrival. excluded are business trips but they need to be verified. Even if you don't book with me ask your host about this.

    April 2014
  • Excellent apartment, warm and compact but had everything we needed. Fairly quiet part of town, but close to Alexanderplatz and the U-Bahn and a couple of bars.

  • Michael has a great apartment in Berlin. Very well connected to everything you need, v quiet at night so you can get a decent sleep. and very secure too. We really enjoyed our stay and love the city!

    March 2014
  • Michael was very flexible and handed us the keys as soon as we arrived in Berlin. His flat is modern, comfortable, well located, and warm in winter :) The kitchen is very well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this place!

    November 2013
  • I'm starting to think that either most people who list on airbnb are nice with pleasant apartments, or we're just amazing at picking good ones. A little of both perhaps. This place was so good, we walked to all the hotspots easily enough. Right on top of all the supermarkets, subway, great view from the apartment. Made us feel like Berliners for a week. Would love to stay here again, should the opportunity afford itself.

  • Warm, clean, compact, quiet and conveniently placed for the U2 (red) underground to central Berlin. On the sixth floor so safe and sound too with a nice view of the park.

    October 2013
  • Michael's apartment was really cosy and the kitchen was extremely equipped! The neighbourhood is also very safe, though not exactly the most centrally located. However the u-bahn is just a short walk away and we had no problems getting to wherever we wanted.

    September 2013
  • The place is very quiet, it is very safe, perfect for a couple (it has a great view of the East side of Berlin). Just two blocks away from the metro and just five stations from the central train station. The neighboorhood is beautiful. It has a bakery store and two mini-markets just a few steps away. The owner was very kind to us. Definitely I recommend it!

    September 2013
  • Michael's friend Maron let us into the apartment. I had made a mistake with our dates and he was very accommodating to letting us into the apartment a little bit later in the evening. He was very friendly and helpful.

The apartment was pretty minimal but clean and had everything we needed. It was sort of bare but it was an okay place to stay.

The location of this apartment is great, it's right off of two U-Bahn stops that will take you to Kreuzberg or Mitte which is perfect.

I'd recommend this apartment if you will be traveling the city a lot and not staying in the apartment. The apartment did not have a very homey feel but it works as a place to stay within good distance to everything you'd want to see in Berlin.

  • Michael: he was very helpful, he was at time in the apartament for check in and gave us a very complete information about his apartment and neighborhood.

Apartment: is as is showed in It has everything you need to stay there (towels, sheets, pots, pans etc). Everything in very good state. It was clean. Internet works fine. If you have any problem try to reset the modem first. The building is very new and safe. In fact very nice and cozy apartment.

Neighborhood: is close to all most Berlin's atractions. You can reach them by walk. Is safe, clean and very quite. Very good connection with public transport (metro U2, bus 147, S-Bahn)
In the same block there are 2 supermarkets, 1 bakery, pizza to take away and ice cream saloon.

Berlin: the best place to stay!!!

    The apartment is highly recommended.
