Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Kate was a very generous host. The old town was a 15min walk from the Flat, and for those who don't want to walk back up the hill there is a bus service - the number 8 - does a loop from the old town to the Flat.
The flat was spacious, well appointed, with a lovely terrace but with a limited view.

  • Lovely stay with Kate, ver friendly and whole place very clean. Tea and coffee were offered but the tin of coffee appeared stale and there was no milk or jug that we could find. Just a suggestion to Kate that it would have been appreciated. Otherwise all good.

  • Highly recommended. Kate was a good host, very helpful with ideas and directions, friendly, and welcoming. Room and living area was spacious and clean. Loved sitting on balcony watching the sunset ovr the Adriatic. Grocery and ATM within five minutes. Liked being half way between Old Town and inlet where we caught a boat to the islands., easy 15-20 minute walk each way. Would stay here again.

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Kate and would definitely recommend to others. Kate was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms very clean and comfortable, great a/c, separate entrance. We were even greeted with fresh juice and cake when we arrived! Note that the airbnb map is incorrect - the location is actually much closer to old town - (website hidden) maps provides the correct location if you search "Srebrenska Ulica". Unless you are determined to stay in old town, the location is perfect (we were glad we stayed outside, nice to get a break from the crowds), a pleasant ten minute walk to Pile gate. We never felt the need to take a bus, as one likely would in Lapad, and that really improved our experience in Dubrovnik. The house is perched high on the hill so there are a lot of stairs to climb - we enjoyed the daily walk but one could also easily take the bus. The only downside is that despite all the climbing there is not much of a view, except perhaps for the upstairs unit. The price I think is comparable to anything you would get by going to a TA or door to door. Strongly recommend.

  • Kate is very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. It is near the old town (5 minutes walking). It has a very nice balcony in front of the room. We stayed for a short time but we enjoyed it.

  • Kate is very nice host. Her place was clean and roomy, and the balcany had a nice view of the Adriatic Sea. Kate even helped my friend and I make a phone call to Croatia Airline while they were on strike. Highly recommend the place.

  • Absolutely wonderful accommodations with a superb hostess. Miss Kate was more than gracious, even allowing us to store our luggage after we checked out and later, driving us to the ferry port for our departure back to Italy. The apartment was spotless. On our arrival, Miss Kate gave us a wonderful orientation to the area and the good places to eat. We will certainly try to return. Dubrovnik is a magnificent place to visit and Villa Katarina is the place to stay, within a long walk of the old town which is a must see.

  • Our stay with Kate was only short but her place was very functional, clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend her place and a couple would find this very suitable and comfortable. The small lounge and kitchen is well equiped and there is a nice private sunny balcony.
Her place is on the No 8 bus route up an alley at a busy crossroads. Ask for instructions to find. It was very quiet at night. The grocery store was close by and we left our car overnight in the public car park - this was very expensive and I sugest that if you need parking that you talk to Kate for alternatives.
Kate thank you for making us feel welcome.

  • Kate is an absolutely wonderful host! The place was great, extremely clean and comfortable, and a nice walk from the beautiful Old City. Kate arranged for airport transfers for me and made me feel welcome in her house with little treats during my stay. I would love to come back to Dubrovnik in the summer and stay for even longer, and would definitely look first to Kate for accommodation. Thanks for a great Dubrovnik experience!
