Charming retreat atop a mountain with fabulous views of rolling hills & forest. Easy paved roads right to front door. Far away from Everything, no traffic or chaos, and only 15 mins to Hollerwood, 20 mins to RRG & State Park. Primary Bedroom has King bed w attached luxury bathroom. Large kitchen w new appliances, quality cookware, new beds, Starlink internet! Huge open spaces. Come enjoy the serenity of being so far away from it all in this parklike green space.

The space
Our retreat is remote and convenient to "nothing" and close to "nothing" and we like it like that. We have excellent paved roads that makes our mountaintop paradise easily accessible! Enjoy our super clean and spacious home that has tons of indoor and outdoor space. We've recently added a large sectional, 3 recliners, large oak dining table and two 55 inch TV's. Its a special and well loved home with plenty of space for you and all your gear. We think you and your crew will love this beautiful location with wonderful views. It's a quaint "prairie top" home that has 3 private bedrooms, 2 large bathrooms, large kitchen and large dining room,....plus huge green outdoor spaces. We just installed a new HVAC system. Other amenities include a charcoal grill, a fire pit with chairs and free firewood, and an amazing green field adjacent to the house where you can star gaze at night. The sky seems bigger here. :) You could even pop up tents in the big field if you're feeling like sleeping under the stars?

We've recently added: brand new Sealy beds, quality cotton luxury sheets, a complete quality cookware set, Kurig and regular coffee maker and mugs, hot tea kettle, toaster. We also provide towels, body soap, shampoo, dish soap and cleaners. Washer and Dryer and Charcoal grill. We have also invested in Starlink internet that works great!

We allow a dog to accompany you but need advance notice, there is a one time $60 fee per pet. We also ask that you do not allow your fur friend on bedding or furniture.

We think you will love everything about this place and these amazing views. This field of green is gorgeous and the house perfect for a great cozy get away. Come sit in these Adirondack chairs and wait for the deer, turkey and rabbits to join you for your morning coffee.

Please note that this home is 30 minutes away from nearest gas station or grocery store so you will want to stop on your way in.

Your cell coverage may not work here depending on your carrier but wifi calling is an option. I have ATT and mine works well but it seems to vary by guest and carrier.

A very remote and peaceful country road with very few houses scattered few and far between... here, there, and way out yonder. You can not see any other homes from this place. House sits atop a hillside with awesome views. Nothing but peace and quiet and big blue skies here.

My work: Hosting, love it!
My husband Jim and I have a blended family of 6 adult children, 6 grandchildren, 2 rescue cats, 1 recue dog, and 5 chickens. God has blessed us to find each other later in life than most but we've got our groove on now and living life to the fullest! We value our family time and have gatherings every chance we get. We are also very entertained and amused by our animals and hope to continue rescuing more as time goes on. As for me, I am a local and my family hails from this area dating back to 1816. Jim is originally from the amazing Chicago area but lived in Lexington, KY the past 22 years and has now found a love and appreciation for my small hometown. He's a cyclist and enjoys routinely riding all the backroads of our rural community. Because of this, he now knows all the backroads even better than I! A couple of things we have in common is our thirst to continually grow our relationship with God and try to keep Him in the center of our life. We know we don't want to do this life without Him and are so thankful for His mercy and grace and blessings. We certainly count our guests among those blessings! Another thing we both enjoy is world travel. We venture every chance we get. In the past few years we've been to New Zealand, Australia, Patagonia, Brazil, St. Croix , Chile, and Mexico to name a few. So we love to travel as much as possible but have recently discovered our LOVE for hosting as well. Hosting gives us a chance to learn about your travels, adventures, and journeys and your stories of travel often intrigue and inspire us. Or, even if just a self check in, we can hopefully leave you with a lasting impression of our super clean spaces and thoughtful touches. We would genuinely love a chance to host you and your guest and would promise to apply all the tips we've learned from our travel to make your experience the best it can be. We live locally and can assist when needed or we can give you complete privacy with no contact and self check in. We will follow your lead! Come stay with us!
