This is a special "piece of art", charming yet Rustic. The Emerald Retreat, is a very special place. It's a fun place to gather with family, friends & romantic get-a-way!
My home was featured HGTV, Extreme and Unique homes & Sunset magazine.

You’ll find this home to be in a very Secluded area of San Diego just east of Del Mar, minutes to Torrey Pines St. Beach, golfing, surfing, SD zoo, fine restaurants in Del Mar & La Jolla.

The space
This home is located just east of Del Mar 92130 sits on one acre with mature trees, a jacuzzi (cleaned every Friday am), sits under the stars at night (romantic or fun), lighted entry, pet friendly, the domes are all "separate", the second bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom for that bedroom is downstairs (outside stairs), not good for small children. The room upstairs sleeps 4, one new “queen bed” and a twin trundle (sleeps 2) the upstairs room also has a lovely veranda. The Master Suite has a King bed with a memory foam (super comfortable!), walk in showers (no tubs), three fireplaces (electric), new stainless appliances. Rustic comes from the location it’s a private eclectic area and the home is custom and round, more rustic charm, and a once in a life time experience! Fell free to call the owner for any details, approx. 1450 sq ft.
The home is a piece of art, not fancy built in the 1980’s, doors are custom & older.

You'll have access to the entire home, lots of parking since we're on an acre, park in front of the “old carport” .

Just east of Del Mar/Carmel Valley area makes us close to Torrey Pines State Beach and golf course, minutes to the best 5 star restaurants, Jimbos's for organic grocery shopping, quiet rural neighborhood with very eclectic homes, horses and landscaping nursery next door.

Get a car...and go visit all you can!! Bikes are great too!! 20 minutes to the airport, San Diego Zoo, Pet Co Park, Gas Lamp District, Sea World, UTC for shopping, La Jolla, Golf at: Encinitas Ranch, Morgan Run, Torrey Pines, Coronado Island, so much to do!!

This is an area of San Diego...not many people get to experience, close to the 5 freeway and Carmel Valley Rd. East of Del Mar, Ca.

To access the home, see the address on a log at the bottom of the driveway, park at the top of the round driveway next to the old carport, the path to the home is lit at night till 11:30 pm, there is a code on the front door “reviled prior to your arrival”. The 2 bedroom keys are on the kitchen counter top.
The entire home and grounds sit on one acre of mature trees that offer a lot of privacy, meditation areas, older jacuzzi "under the San Diego skies", with two private rooms, two full bathrooms, outdoor shower, outdoor patio with fire place, many variety of succulents, tree house style second bedroom (upstairs access from the outside), 2 bathrooms are downstairs, and the convenience of a washer & dryer. Several areas to enjoy the San Diego sunshine.
This is a “rural area” with critters, we exterminate, nature is nature.

If you have a dog remember to keep in the home, all of San Diego has Coyotes.
Please make me aware your bringing a pet, type of pet. Clean up after your pet and the pet fee is $40
Dog beach is at the end of Vis de La Valle “ across from the brigantine restaurant” Plan on paying for parking.

Drive to Torrey Pines State beach in 5 minutes!!! Best dinning in San Diego as were just 10 minutes to down town Del Mar...hot spots, dinning great healthy grocery shopping; whole foods, Vons, sprouts, trader joe's, Cost Co, and Fish a Market.

This home was designed and built by a famous artist James Hubbell in the late 1980s feel free to research some of his beautiful work and unique inspirations of life! Come enjoy one of his most fabulous pieces of art amidst the hills of East Del Mar

Other things to note
Not many people know about this “rural area of North County San Diego”, just east of Del Mar/ Carmel Valley. This home is fun and playful. Sitting by the outdoor fire, having coffee and dinner out doors. As charming and fun as it is, it's not fancy, it's unique! The outdoor landscaping this is not completed because of our VACATIONER'S!
Because of the realness and the location of our home we have critters such as spiders, ants here and there we do fumigate.
Jacuzzi is not brand new but it is always heated, plug the lights in to the right of the Jacuzzi, Or enjoy under the San Diego stars!

We are dog lovers, And welcome your furry family members. But please clean up after them and there is a $40 pet fee

This location is One of San Diego's best kept secret, just east of the Del Mar area where were famous for our white sandy beaches! MyHome as in a rural area that is extremely charming and endearing this is a "piece of art" home is a sculpture and experience of a lifetime! Just read all my lovely reviews!! My home is private and surrounded by mature Teatree's private but yet only five minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to downtown Del Mar close to the San Diego race track that takes place from July till September. Torrey Pines State Beach, golf, off the 5 North Bi pass for the airport SAN, only 15-20 minutes. 20 Minutes for Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, Lego Land,La Jolla, Best restaurants in the world in La Jolla and Del Mar right in our backyard! Walk to Ruth's Chris Steak House...then hit the hutch accusing me and sit under the stars! Parking is in the driveway or on the woodchips in the front area, plenty of parking.
Contact the owner in regards to any special events, weddings, anniversary parties and corporate events. We've had several and it's worked out beautifully because of the extra parking and ll of the all of the outdoor living area for you to decorate to make YOU SPECIAL your own!
Please read house rules; no parties, no illegal drugs, no dogs without the owner knowing, please be considerate and leave the home in the condition you found it! Enjoy your stay!
Always be nice conscious for the neighbors and do not be a nuisance try to close all music/loud voices down at 10 PM.
This is a TRUE PIECE OF ART, so this will be a very unique experience, With all the modern conveniences of today’s world. Since it is custom it is constructed very differently. Round, yes it’s a round home with detached domes. All the rooms are separated and have Aransas and patios off each living space with fireplaces and furniture to enjoy all the outdoor experiences for meditation relaxation and socializing.

This home has been clean with Covid in mind and has been followed by the Airbnb regulations for cleaning.

I’m a native to San Diego and enjoy all that San Diego has to offer by going to the local zoo, beach walks, beautiful sunsets. Finding fun things to do in San Diego is easy to do hitting a farmers markets, taking surf lessons, kayaking in La Jolla! I like walking on the pier in ocean beach at sunset watching the surfers, hitting up a juicy burger place and all the fresh seafood really makes San Diego the top of the list of places to go and see!
