  • We had a great time at Sunyata's. It is exactly as advertised, cute, comfy, beautiful, (lots of beautiful Native American art and handmade ceramics). The place had everything we could hope for and more. Sunyata had fresh baked yummy cookies and coffee beans for us. We highly recommend this listing and will look forward to staying here again. The 3 block walk to Main street was great - so many restaurants and so cool.

  • Hosts dealt with travel hiccups well

    Nice place

  • This was a roomy, comfortable apartment in a convenient location. Street parking was always available. Jenny was the greatest host: she left food in the apartment for the first morning, and was generous with access to the laundry. She even bought a new DVD player and installed it so that we would have one. After our stay, she even mailed me my forgotten items. Couldn't ask for a better, kinder host than this.

  • Great host, very kind and friendly. Vancouver, BC had a power outage for a couple of hours and Sunyata provided us with light candles. Sunyata was also very accommodating, willing to assist us with questions we had about what to do around the city. The place was clean and tidy, it's close to downtown Vancouver and lots of restaurants in just a few blocks. Will most likely book with Sunyata when I get a chance to go back to Vancouver again.

  • Sunyata's place is great. Its large and spacious, well appointed, and moderately priced considering you're in Vancouver. We were staying there as a family of 4 and it worked out very well. We will definitely be staying again in our return trips to Van.

  • Sunyata was a fantastic host and her home is very central and well situated and super comfortable! She kindly put out some tasty treats upon arrival which were well received by myself, partner and children, and throughout our stay she was so helpful in guiding us to local grocery stores, places of interest and even helping us move our belongings to our next place of abode. We had a young toddler and baby and she and her family managed to persevere with the noise! (sorry again) Sunyata's mum is fantastic too and we enjoyed visiting her and the children she looks after. I will miss them both!

  • We stayed 2 nights at Sunyata's house and it was perfect. Their basement suite was spacious, clean and with all amenities we wanted.
It's well located, close to a bus line which brings you to Downtown and in a peaceful area.
Sunyata left us some breakfast food like muesli grains, bananas and also fresh coffee and tea.
We really enjoyed these 2 nights.

  • Great hospitality and a prime location. The SoMa neighbourhood is becoming one of the new hot spots of Vancouver, BC and this apartment is perfectly located to explore it.

Unfortunately we weren't there long enough this time to meet Sunyata herself, but we found the place to be comfortable, charming and affordable. No complaints at all if you have a car to help you get around.

    September 2013
  • The apartment is spacious and has good parking out front. Sunyata was very warm, and left us breakfast foods (lifesaver!) It was also helpful to have a local landline for calling taxis and restaurants.
