Short and long term welcome!
1-3 guests welcome.
Just be respectful & tidy. I'm pretty easy going.
I was very comfortable to be in Tarra's place. She was very nice! The room was clean and it was quiet so I could have my sleep very well.
Thank you very much.
Tara's place is in a great spot in Williamsburg! Lots of great local bars, cafes and streets to wander in a cool part of Brooklyn! It's also located perfectly to jump on the train and be on Manhattan in a couple stops! The room is big and shabby, as is shown in the pic, which suited us fine. It's not 5 star but is a great comfy place to come back to every night!
My family stayed at Tarra's room for five nights in early December, and everything went smooth. The bedroom is big, the bed comfortable and the couch decent for a third person. Tarra is very flexible with dates, and accommodated two extra nights for us without a problem at all. The building is somewhat old and dirty, but I guess that's beyond the host's control. The bathroom, however, could be cleaner. The location is great! You're close to both the L and G train, and all the good spots in Williamsburg. All in all, my family had a comfortable stay. Thanks, Tarra!!
Really really really good location! Just a couple of blocks off Bedford Avenue and all the little boutiques of Williamsburg really close by! Situated close to Lorimer st and Bedford Avenue station, less than 15 minutes from Union Square by subway. Ideal in many ways!
What you see on the picture is exactly what you get. Nice spacious room, good bed, decent couch to sleep on (as I am 6ft and slept on it, there wasn't much room to wiggle, but for a shorter period of time it's absolutely okay!). Would recommend this place to young people and would defo come back.
Tarra was very nice and welcoming, answered any and all questions. We mostly had the place to ourselves.
Kitchen and bathroom as mentioned in previous reviews are not top of the class, but it all works. Just don't expect anything fancy.
Really enjoyable stay - and again; GREAT location!
Tarra was a nice and friendly host, even though we didn't meet more than a few times during our stay. The room was very spacious and could easily fit both our suitcases open on the floor. Unfortunately the windows were not very isolated so me and my friend had to buy pajamas and ear plugs to get a good sleep (we came at the first cold days of fall and the super hadn't put on the heat yet).
As said in comments before, the bathroom was a bit of a disappointment. A picture says it renovated, but there was mold in the ceiling. Also, we wish we would have known that people were smoking inside the building.
However, the location and private entrance was very good and Tarra's flexibility with our arrival and departure highly appreciated.
Nice room for this price, great location, easy going to anywhere, but the bathroom could have been cleaner and it hasn't got towels hooks, so it can be some kind of inconvenience for you. Also the Brooklyn Queens Highway is bit close, so be ready for sometimes car's noise, but I repeat – really good place to stay and enjoy your neighborhood. We didn't see each other many times, but check in and out time were very comfortable and flexible. Thanks, Tara!
Tarra's place was just what we were after in NYC. Some of the points made in other reviews are correct - yes, the bathroom is v small and yes the apartment is old, but really, it bother us at all! It's what we expected from a reasonably priced apartment in Williamsburg!
We were only really there to sleep, and the bed was comfy and apparently so was the couch, much comfier than expected!
Tarra was very easy going and understanding when it took us longer to arrive on the subway than expected.
It was great having our own entrance to the apartment as we didn't need to worry about waking tarra. The apartment is perfectly located for the L train, which means you don't have to stay in Manhattan but can get there in fifteen minutes.
We'd definitely stay with tarra again.
About the Host, Tarra
I'm from the jersey shore, been living in New York City for 5 years. I'm a NYU alumni, currently work at a venue is the neighborhood, book local shows an am a musician. I love eating out and I draw, paint, and make video art in my spare time.
I'm super friendly and can give a lot of different recommendations for eating & drinking in the area. I tend to be more of a night owl and sleep late due to my job. I'm super easy going and love hosting on airbnb.
