I have a beautiful ground floor, homely 3 bedroom apartment with a twin bedroom, for 1 or 2 people, available for you to stay in during your visit to Edinburgh!
During your stay you will have access to the rest of the flat. I have a fully fitted kitchen which is equipped with all mod cons. You are welcome to cook meals, or wat with me if I happen to be home and cooking! Also you are welcome to help yourself to anything is the cupboards...just, please don't eat everything! Your are also free to use the living room with a television and free view during your stay. Please note that I have a pet rabbit who lives in my living room. The rabbit won't ever be in your room, but if you have allergies please keep this in mind. I have an internet dongle which you are free to use during your stay to check emails, and look up Edinburgh's tourist attractions! There is also on street parking available.
While you are in Edinburgh I can give you advice on the best places to go and things to do. The area has great amenities and an excellent bus service which will have you in the West End in just 15 minutes. Edinburgh is packed with great shopping, tasty restaurants, and historical sights, including Princes Street, the Royal Mile and of course Edinburgh Castle. You will never be stuck for anything to do!
I am a friendly host who will do all in my power to ensure you have a relaxing, fun and memorable stay!
Interaction with Guests
I may not always be around when you arrive but if you let me know your intended arrival time then I will let you know the arrangements for your arrival.
Please only smoke in the kitchen. Leave your shoes at the door and finally no eating or drinking in the bedrooms. Thank you
Awesome, great, like family. Beats being in a hotel any day. Highly recommend it!
I’ am lived for 2 months , in the small room. The flat was very warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay, in a excellent location there is a bus stop near. Had a very nice time in the lovely flat. Feel like home. I enjoyed everything . Annie are great hosts - helpful and attentive. Thanks Annie
My friend and I enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh, Anne was a great host doing our washing for us and providing some info on what to do, she was really happy to help and welcoming :)
Only issue for us was the location a little far our of the city but the busses are really good only a two minute walk from the flat and coming very frequently.
Overall a very good stay and enjoyed having a flat to relax in :) thanks Anne
Anne has amazing personality! She's so enthusiastic and helpful. I felt at home during the stay. The room was satisfying in every way and the location was quiet for a good rest. Lovely experience :)
We had a great stay at Anne's place! She was really helpful in answering any queries and the flat is really nice with everything you need. It's very easy to get into the city centre via bus! Would definitely recommend it :) thanks!
This was the first time I was trying AirBnB. I had my apprehensions. However, from the time I first interacted with Anne, she has been a wonderful host and friend. She helped me with suggestions in the run up to my visit and during. She made us feel at home. She is always there when you need her but is very non intrusive and kind. I got lucky with getting a host like Anne. Her house is a short bus ride away from the town center and is very convenient for people who are new to town. The house itself is very cosy and welcoming. If I visit Edinburgh again, I hope to stay at Anne's home again.
Anne is a beautiful and welcoming host who was very keen to make us comfortable. Would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone.

I am a fun loving individual and enjoy having guests stay in my humble home. I live less than 30 minutes from the city centre in North Edinburgh, close to the Firth of Forth. There is an excellent bus service with many choices of bus routes and I live close to local shops and takeaways.
The best way to my home from the airport is either the 100 airport bus to the Westend then the 37 to Muirhouse Shopping Centre or a taxi. Lothian Buses has a fantastic website so you can check timetables at your leisure. A single trip ticket is £1.50 and a day saver is £3.50 on the local buses, the airport bus fare is slightly more. A taxi to my home from the airport, or the city centre, is between £12-£18. Travel Easy - (phone number hidden) is the cheapest but there is also Capital Cabs - (phone number hidden).
I have wifi which you can access with a code which you will find in the kitchen. I am happy for you to use my internet, to check out information and confirm travel details and check out attractions, but please do not use it for inappropriate sites.
I must highlight that I do not always stay in the flat due to the popularity of my property on airbnb and the fact that I have guests staying in all three rooms at times. If I am not able to be at home to open the door in person then I do have a key code box which is changed frequently. Please just contact me prior to arrival and I can let you know what the code is. I will try and be there in person though but this is not always possible and rather than have you waiting around in town I am sure you would like to just settle in and get comfortable. Once you have let yourself in please put the keys back in the key code box. You will find your own keys in the door of your room which are yours for the duration of your stay. You will have 3 keys, 1 for the stair door, 1 for the front door and 1 for your bedroom. Please have consideration of others in the block by ensuring the doors are locked. The stair door this will happen automatically as with the bedroom door (be careful not to lock yourself out your room). The front door you need to lift the handle up high before turning the key to lock the door. Closing the door is not enough!!! Please check before leaving you have not left the door unlocked by testing if the handle goes down. If locked correctly the handle will not allow you to lower and open the door.
I am happy that people use the facilities in my home to cook and you are welcome to help yourself to food, etc but request that you clean up after yourselves and do not take advantage of my generosity by taking food away with you. With regards to washing clothes, I am happy to do this for you to prevent over or under filling the machine, please just ask and I will assist you.
The toilet is a slow fill so if it is in frequent use it does not always flush instantly. This is easily resolved by filling up the cistern with a bottle of water from the bathroom taps. This can occur at times as there is only one toiket/bathroom for a flat with three rooms.
You are welcome to stay in a home which is "modest and honest" I love having guests around and as a hardened traveller myself try to provide the environment I loved when I was in a strange place for the first time. You can be assured of receiving a warm welcome at some point from me. I offer you the use of my home and the room you book while you are in Edinburgh which is different from the experience you will have in a fully serviced B&B or guest house.
I hope that you have a great time in Edinburgh and if you choose to stay with me then I look forward to sharing your travel adventure and getting to know you.
