Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as you prefer. I love to share information about things I enjoy in our neighborhood and city so feel free to ask.
We love the people in our neighborhood more than anything. We feel really blessed for the quality of neighbors we have. We also love how close it is to City Park and how convenient it is to get to the French Quarter, Marigny and Bywater. We love walking down to Esplanade or P(website hidden) Cafe on Bayou Road. We love how on any given Sunday there will be a Second Line parade passing in front of our house. Lastly, we love the historic architecture in our neighborhood as well.
Our home is very centrally located and it is easy to get anywhere in the city from here. There is a bus stop a half a block from our house, which connects to the street car as well. Bike lane runs along the street in front of our home as well.
Please no smoking or pets inside the house. We live in a residential neighborhood with great neighbors. Late at night we ask for you to be mindful of others who may have to wake up early when you are outside.
Also we ask that you kindly place your trash in just our trash cans and not our neighbors.
Lastly, we live in an old New Orleans home. Our plumbing still works well but since it is old please be careful what you put down the toilet or drain.
We thank you for understanding and hope you enjoy your stay!
Spacious house with two living areas. Huge front porch and awesome back yard. The kitchen is a perfect size for cooking your own meals. Great location: close to restaurants, coffee houses, small markets, and City Park. Ryan was great to work with and made sure we could get into the house, even though he was out of town. We had everything we needed, and it was a great space for our three week stay!
Stayed at Ryan's place and it was a great experience barring one small issue. The place was great, just as the ad and pics said it was. They were great hosts although I didn't get to see them personally. They helped us settle in at every step.
I guess when you decide to stay in a old house you have to be prepared for the Roaches. That was the one thing I could find any fault with. My daughter accidentally broke on of Ryan's daughters toys and while I did try to reimburse him for that he didn't accept. He's a great guy. Great value for my money
We had a wonderful stay in Ryan's house over the holidays. It was perfect for our family (6 adults and 1 toddler) - bright, comfortable, fully equipped and spacious (especially the common areas where we spent most of our time). It was so nice to cook, play games, grill and spend time together at the house, and it's a quick drive to downtown, the rest of Mid-City and Uptown. Ryan was an excellent host - very communicative and accommodating, even putting together a crib in advance of us arriving. Highly recommend! We would definitely stay here again.
Charming, adorable spacious home was perfect for our family's visit! (my husband and I with our 2 college kids) Spacious well equipped kitchen and 2 dinning areas made our Thanksgiving easy. Amazing collection of books and piano added to our celebration. 3 large private bedrooms - the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on ( including my own). Quaint back garden with orange trees and garden beds. Convenient location, walked to the racetrack and close to city park. Short drive to the Quarter and Tulane campus. Ryan was a great host, communicating clearly during our planning and stay. Had a book of tourist information and personal suggestions! Thanks for sharing your home!
Ryan was the perfect host. We were not able to meet him but he was very accommodating and quick to answer all of my messages. Ryan gave us great ideas of places to go for music and food during our visit as well. This house is in a very nice, quiet, conveniently located, neighborhood. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. From the pictures, I really had no concept of how big the home was but it was really perfect and much larger than I had anticipated! I really can't say enough about this house and host! My friends and I will be back to New Orleans for sure and we will absolutely stay here again!
Ryan was very helpful in making this trip happen for us. He was easy to communicate with. He filled us in on all the local stores and restaurants his family likes and how to get around on transportation. He even called to check on us when it got cold a couple days into our trip.
The house was charming, the backyard sunny and spacious. The location couldn't be beat for jazz fest. The off street parking and less than 3 blocks to the entrance was fantastic.
We would definitely stay here again! Thanks
About the Host, Ryan
Hello Airbnb Community - My wife and I both work serving public school students in our area. When not working, we are enjoying hanging out with our now 3 year old daughter. We also truly love all things New Orleans (food, music, the Saints, festivals, the architecture, the parks and the people). We enjoy sharing the things we find magical about our city and hearing the ways in which others appreciate this place too!
