I spent an excellent 6 months at this property. The studio was very thoughtfully equipped, well decorated, and conveniently located mere steps from Canada Line. As noted by other reviewers, the street noise can be loud at times - I am a heavy sleeper and was never bothered. All in all, a cozy, comfortable home in a wonderfully city.
I stayed in this Yaletown loft for a full summer ('14) and it was great; it's right in the heart of the city and is as cozy as it looks with great furniture and interior design, fireplace, fast wifi etc and in a nice building. Ed was a very gracious host and made settling in smooth and easy. If you're looking for a launch pad from which to explore one of the world's most beautiful cities, look no further.
Initial impression was positive; we were looking for somewhere local to stay for 3 months while we undertook reno’s in our apartment. Edward moved furniture into storage to make us comfortable. Had a few challenges when we first moved in with sink drainage; internet… which got sorted within the first two weeks. Lively building and location, with interesting antics as club closes at 3am on a Fri & Sat, and the noisy daily 7am refuse collection (just what you need after there has been a scuffle that has flowed out of the club, or impatient taxi drivers using their horns at 3am). As a heritage building the windows didn’t offer much soundproofing (we live a block away, so know and love the area, and were surprised by the noise). Other residents in the building are extremely friendly, so there is a nice vibe. Apartment is bright, and furnished nicely, thankfully has a few fans as was became increasingly hot during April and May, even with them on. The art work in the apartment and building are great and show how much Vancouver has changed over the years. Edward asked if we wanted to extend and offered us a special rate for another week, which was an additional 35% more than we had been paying, needless to say we didn’t stay. Even with a post explanation and apology, it did leave a sour taste in my mouth, however I believe I have remained objective in my feedback. In summary, if you are looking for somewhere to stay for a week or two, this is would be a comfortable apartment in a happening and great central location.
My host was very helpful and courteous.
The luxury loft was attractive and furnished comfortably in the Yaletown neighborhood. It was a convenient and secure location within walking distance of wonderful restaurants, public transportation (Roundhouse Sky train), shopping, major attractions, gourmet supermarkets and urban pubs.
While in Vancouver, the loft was convenient and comfortable, during my extended work assignment.
I recently stayed at Edward's loft for a week. All I can do is echo what others have said here! Edward was very easy to deal with and I got a great vibe from our very first exchange. He was available throughout my stay in case I needed anything (which I didn't bc the loft had everything! :-)) Check in and check out was smooth.
The loft itself was perfect. Comfy bed and great space. Yaletown is a vibrant neighbourhood, especially on the weekend. So be ready for a true urban environment! Location was ideal - close to everything I needed. Canada Line, Seawall, bike rental, grocery stores with selling fresh produce... I couldn't really afford to shop in the neighbourhood, but it was a lovely place for strolling and window-shopping!
All in all, a great experience!
Beautiful property, great location and wonderful hospitality! We had a very positive introduction to air bnb with Edward and his lovely flat in Yaletown. Super easy to book and arrange logistics. Would recommend Edward as a host to anyone, he is both professional and flexible. We loved the property and would be more than happy to stay again!
The condo is lovely, comfortable and very clean. Towels, hairdryer etc were provided, and even an umbrella, which really came in handy with the rainy weather in Vancouver.
It's very well situated, close to a lot of trendy shops and restaurants. A bit loud on friday and saturday nights as it's across the street from a night club, but we were previously informed.
We absolutely loved the experience and Edward was also very accommodating towards our late-night arrival and early departure times. We would definitively come back next time we are in Vancouver. Thank you so much!
