Alison was an incredible host, she really did do everything possible to make my stay a complete success, from cooking me dinner the night I arrived, to driving me to see lochs and a beach that I would otherwise never have been able to see. She was completely friendly and welcoming. Her house was exactly as advertised, with a wonderful view of the loch, and the room was really comfortable. Kilmun and the surrounding area was a delight, with plenty to do despite being a little remote. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will definitely be coming back!
Wonderful stay! This was our first airbnb experience and it was easy from start to finish. We didn't get the chance to meet Alison but she was very helpful through email and the apartment was lovely. Beautiful area for a relaxing stay
Had amazing night at Alison' place, sadly didn't get to see her but had everything we needed and the setting was like a storybook!! Would definitely recommend!
Such a beautiful home in front of an amazing loch! We only stayed there for a night but the place was comfortable and not far from the Loch Lomond!
My experience at Alison's was unbelievable - a true whirlwind of an adventure! Alison's home is truly special. With an impeccable view, you will never get bored with it, no matter the weather forecast. The room was perfect. Beautifully cozy and inviting! I absolutely fell in love.
Tucked away on Cowal, but still close enough to Glasgow, the area of Kilmun is very friendly for wanderers like me who just love walking about and exploring. Alison was extremely generous, amicable, humorous and passionate about showing her town. She asked a friend to lend a bike and I was able to freely cycle through the grand majestic plains of the surrounding area with no fear at all and I was able to really soak in the spirit of Scotland. She also gave me a ride to a neighbouring isle (one of many) and if I had more time, I would definitely have visited them all because it seems each has its own unique charm.
Alison truly is a wonderful host and she definitely made this experience one to remember for a very long time. I highly recommend her!
Alison's house was lovely and very quaint. It had a beautiful view over the Loch and clean, comfortable amenities. We did not get the chance to meet Alison as she was away, however she was very communicative and helpful in making sure we found to location and were comfortable during our stay. Would definitely stay here again
Just perfect: Nice host, wonderful flat (just my taste :-)) and the most gorgeous, quiet location at the Holy Loch. Easily accessible from Glasgow by ferry and with a great restaurant next door. Although I came from the North which was a bit complicated, but a trip with wonderful views of the Highlands.
Definitely one of the highlights of my trip. Unfortunately I didn't have enough time, I would have preferred to stay one day longer to explore the area and maybe chat with Alison who's a very kind, intelligent woman, I felt very welcome there.

The apartment is restive, calm and relaxed. views over the water are always beautiful, no matter how the weather may change. If you are tired of looking at the water, the house is well stocked with books and there are lots of good places to eat, places to be experienced.
I am a traveling chef, this is my home base. I prefer to focus on local, fresh ingredients and am very interested in healthy, seasonal and wild foods. I specialise in cooking for vegetarian and restricted diets. Sometimes I'm home and can offer b&B, otherwise I offer the flat on a self catering basis. If i am working away from home, my friends Steven and Matthew will act as host and help you with local information.
