  • Pegi goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome in her home. It was so nice to be able to sit out on the back deck and have some quiet time after such a busy week. Waking up to a nice breeze with the sound of her water feature out back was great too. It was good to get to know Pegi and if I'm back in Bend next year I would stay here again.

  • Had a wonderful stay in Bend with Pegi. She is a gracious and friendly host. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Great views in a quiet setting. Definately would stay here again!

  • Pegi is a superb host. We got in quite late, but Pegi was there to welcome us anyway. The next morning, she sent us off with a generous batch of her just-out-of-the-oven chewy chocolate chip cookies.

Both the Safari-themed room and the bathroom were impeccably clean. The only sad thing about our visit is that we couldn't stay longer.

  • This was like coming home. Pegi is a great hostest. Friendly and helpful. shared the living room during down time, watching the Olympics and talking about what we did that day, with suggestions on what to do next. Hopefully we will have the chance to visit Bend again.

  • We stayed with Pegi during a marathon house hunting trip in Bend, in preparation for moving there for a job. The trip was stressful but Pegi's place was the serene oasis we could return to every night. It really felt like coming home. The love and care she and her family have put into the house and grounds are in full evidence everywhere you look. On our first night, we sat outside and talked with Pegi and the other guests around the fire pit in the truly amazing backyard. At breakfast on our second morning, we talked with another pair of guests and learned so much about Oregon, traveling, and shared stories. It felt like being part of a community. Pegi even helped us find more contacts for our house search. We loved our stay here and would do it again in a heartbeat!

  • This room was super comfortable and I loved the decor. Pegi, the owner is such a delightful person and very helpful!! The grounds were so plush and peaceful and I loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds. Bend has so much to offer and so much to see, I can not wait to come back again. I will stay here is a slice of paradise!

  • Two words: STAY HERE! Keith and I came across Pegi's room the day before we were due to stay in Bend, and thankfully Pegi was able to take us in at relatively short notice.

We arrived at Pegi's beautiful home a little late, but she was there to greet us with open arms! We stayed in the Safari room - a large and very comfortable room with a TV and plenty of channels to watch. The bathroom was lovely and I believe shared if other guests were staying, but on this occasion we had it to ourselves. Pegi made so much effort to make us feel welcome and at home, even offering us space in her fridge to keep our doughnuts! We were amazed at how big, clean and homely Pegi's house was, while on the way out in the car, we stopped and watched deer wondering through her garden.

When we left, Pegi even sent us off with home-baked cookies in a cute yellow bag - they were delicious and a sweet touch. In short, Pegi's home was without a doubt the best stay we had on our 2 week trip through North America - we didn't want to leave!

  • There are not enough adjectives to describe the wonderful, gracious, sincere, welcoming, nurturing attributes of Pegi. From the moment she greets you to the last wave goodbye Pegi gets a 5 star, superior rating.
Her fabulous home is impeccably clean, decorated and equipped. Class and comfort abounds. Her very private setting is as nice as any high priced destination resort.

Be won't want to leave the warm embrace of Pegi and her accommodations. :-)

  • Absolutely wonderful! I can't say enough about Pegi's hospitality; truly an amazing hostess. Not to mention the warm and comfortable space, perfectly clean...will never stay anywhere else in Bend if I can help it!

  • Pegi was an amazing hostess. She made us feel at home and set the bar high for all other airbnb locations. We are so happy we stayed in the Safari room instead of choosing a hotel option where we would have not received the same comfort and hospitality as we did with Pegi. We especially enjoyed the coffee and cookies she provided! We look forward to stayin at Sunny Acres the next time we are in Bend!

I moved from Chicago to Bend in the summer of 2011 to be closer to my parents who retired here 26 years ago. I recently purchased this home on 2 1/2 acres of incredible quiet country land within the high desert of Central Oregon. I love to meet new people and hear their stories. Airbnb is the chance to do this and share my home with you. We look forward to your visit to enjoy a tranquil country setting with all the comforts of a B&B and great hospitality. Central OR has so much to offer year round, who wouldn't want to come for a visit? Come inside and see our sunshine on Stormy Lane!
