Great apartment in the very central parts of Copenhagen – Christianshavn!
About the apartment & location:
It´s a one room apartment of about 43 m2 with all necessities. A relatively large living room with a dinner table, a sofa set, TV, desk and a small “french balcony” or something in that style…
There is separate space for the bed, 115 cm, which should be a great cosy alternative for couples!
There is a hallway for your shoes and overcoats, bathroom with shower and WC as well as small but functional kitchen with gas-oven and all utensils you might need to cook a descent dinner.
The apartment is in general furnished with Scandinavian designs and you will have access to wi-fi.
About the area:
The apartment is located by the canal in a larger apartment complex in the calmer area of Christianhavn. The metro is 200 m from your door and it will take you straight to the airport in no more then 13 min.! In a 10 minutes walk you will be in the commercial centre of the city, Rådhuspladsen and Kongens Nytorv, are both just across the bridges. You are 3 minutes away from the city´s harbour and Islands Brygge where you can go for a swim or enjoy the lively harbour-front with a bbq or/and a cold beer!
Christiania, the well known “free town” is a stones throw away, a must when you visit Copenhagen, if you ask me!
You will have access to all shopping facilities around Christianhavns square, supermarkets and great bakeries! There are numerous top restaurants and cafés in the area, among them NOMA, which is known for being the best restaurant in the world – meaning you probably not be able to score a reservation – but still!
Christianshavn is in general a great neighbourhood with unique ambiance! An old working class area, turned artist neighbourhood, turned kind of BoBo with a lot of left leaning well-of´s and old beer drinking harbour people…
It is a great point of departure for trips around the city to areas such as vesterbro, 15-20 min walk, and Nørrebro where you could take the metro and reach that whole area in 5 minutes.
You will have the apartment for yourself! It is certainly best suited for a couple or the business traveller who needs a temporary home. It is however also possible to crash on the sofa for a few nights.
It is my home so ordinary common sense and respect for the neighbours is expected.
On arrival we felt immediately at home with Ruben, he's a very friendly and interesting guy. Ruben provided us with all the information we needed to have a pleasant stay in Copenhagen, he even advised us on places to visit in Malmö - which proved very useful!
Although we were out most of the time, the apartment was very comfortable and clean, additionally it is well equipped if you feel like cooking a meal and having a night in. I can't emphasise enough the perfect location; 4 min walk to the metro and supermarkets, 7 mins to church of our saviour and the intriguing Christiania. The entire city is very accessible from Christianshavn!
Again, Ruben was a perfect host and I would highly recommend anyone to stay with him.
Ruben is a great host and and his flat was awesome. Very tidy and welcoming. Ruben was very accommodating and quick to respond. Great location, very close to the metro and airport. We enjoyed our walks next to the canal. Thanks so much!
Ruben's flat in Christianshavn was a really amazing place to stay for our long weekend in Copenhagen. The flat its self was just as described in the add, and provided a very quiet, but extremely central base for exploring the city. The only downside was that the internet was unavailable the weekend that we stayed, which made it tricky to plan days out from home, but hopefully that will be fixed by the time the next guest stays. I'd be happy to recommend Ruben's place to anyone in the future.
Although we haven't met Ruben throughout our visit, we were pleased to stay in his place near the canal in Christianhavn. The apartment is well located, 6 minutes from the Metro and with a short biking distance from the city center – though some nights we enjoyed staying around and sit by the canal for a beer. The place was pretty much as described, although the building and the elevator were smelly, and the air in the apartment itself was stuffy so we needed to open all the windows. The wifi didn't work throughout our whole stay, which was a big bummer. Ruben was kind and made an effort to help us and fix it but it didn't work out. Notice also that the bed is big enough for a couple but still pretty small. The kitchen was very equipped and handy for cooking. Moreover, Ruben left some tourist maps for us which were very helpful.
To sum up, our stay at Ruben's was very nice and warm despite a few mishaps.
Ruben welcomed us very warmly. He explained to us how to rent a bike and suggested some places to visit. The apartment is the same as the pictures. Nice place, good vibes. It is very well located, easy to access from the airport and you can walk or bike to everything you want to see/visit.
I would recommend this place to my relatives and family (only to couples or the ones who are travelling alone though). If I come back to Copenhague, I'll stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay at Rubens apartment a lot. The apartment is really charming. We felt at home quickly, because the place is neither fancy nor cold/anonymous...it is like the apartment from the boy next door.
Above that Ruben is a really nice guy who answered all our questions. Great communication.
