Loved staying here. Great location in a friendly neighbourhood with easy access to so much. This place had character as well as being homely and clean. We enjoyed a glass of wine out on the pavement one sunny evening, picnicd and walked along the river and had a delicious lunch at Zobra's Greek restaurant. This was a peaceful safe haven to return to at the end of our day trips out and easy access into the city. Would definitely re book.

Norma's house is perfectly located on an extremely charming street just a short walk from excellent restaurants, the art museum, the penitentiary museum, a convenient small grocer, and bus stops! We feel lucky to stay at Norma's whenever my family of four is in Philadelphia.

Norma was very sweet, she met us on arrival and gave us thorough tour and explanation of the house. She also left written instructions which was helpful since we arrived tired from the Southwest. She was easy to contact during our stay with routine questions. Couldn't ask for a more lovely lady as host. As for the property, the best thing is the LOCATION in an adorable safe neighborhood that was wonderful for walking the baby. Easy walk to art museum (love the free guest pass, thanks Norma!), Whole Foods, coffee shops, bistros, used book stores. I used to live in the center of Center City but was so glad we chose this area instead, especially with an infant. Other pros: very quiet for a Philly place, small but well supplied kitchen (we cooked every day), beautiful furniture and artwork, laundry on site in basement, nice hot water with good pressure, lots of blankets and towels, Philadelphia Inquirer delivered every day, great WiFi, close to easy public parking lot if you rent a car (which in general is not a good idea in Philadelphia, but we were making day trips to family in NJ) Cons: Nothing to speak of -- the property was exactly as we expected. As this is an older home typical of Philly, the property has a few steep staircases that were not an issue for us but would be difficult if you had mobility issues. Kitchen has small fridge but was adequate for our needs, large deep freezer in basement allowed us to plan meals. OVERALL: Wonderful host, beautiful location, great value, we recommend and would stay again.

We were really delighted with our stay in Philadelphia. Norma's house is as described, very comfortable for a couple and well furnished. Everything we needed was available, and she also had some very welcome gifts for us. The house is very close to the museums and the neighborhood is quiet. We were lucky to meet Norma, she is friendly and gave us some information on the city. A perfect way to visit Philly.
