I am available to check guests in, and if they are arriving very late I usually offer a light meal. Next morning breakfast is usually offered if the guest desires and I can help orientate and make recommendations on Kauai.
Princeville at Hanalei resort is a gated golf course community perched above and surrounded by ocean and beaches of Anini and Hanalei Bay. There is a great walking/jogging trail, close walk to shopping center and resorts.
My home is 2 blocks to local bus stop.
It was exciting till I've got there. Victoria first didn't know if she can make it with the cleaning- but she made it. I enjoyed to (email hidden) for the four nights. We've become friends. Thank you for hosting me!
I arrived as I was told at 10am but the room was not ready. She told me to come back 1 hour later - so I had to wait instead of enjoying my precious time on kauai.
On friday evening I wanted to go to Hanalei to enjoy some live music with friends, but she told me to be back not later than 11pm - otherwise she would cancel my reservation! So I ended up sleeping on someone elses couch just because I wasn't in by 11pm! She treated me like a seven year old girl and I didn't feel welcome at all :-(
If you are an independent person who likes to be free to leave early for the sunrise or a hike or any other plans this is (email hidden) to stay.
It was arranged for Susan to check in early (normal time is 4pm) as it met both our schedules. Susan agreed to arrive at 11am. Susan text me she was in Princeville and before receiving my reply just showed up well before 10am. I had to ask her to come back. Susan seemed indignent then and was so for the entire stay. I felt Susan's lack of respect for host, she was bossy and argumentative and has not given an accurate review. Susan hooked up with some guys she met her first day and went out at 9pm to party all night, and that's why she did not stay in her room the first night. This particular room is a share; in close proximity to the host and I had to get up for work at 5am but Susan did not care. I do not recommend this guest
House has very strong odor of animal urine. Stairs and upper floor is carpeted and reading a previous guests review about a puppy urinating on carpet, I know I was not imaging it. Especially with the summer heat in the house it was amplified. I got up early and stayed out all day as to not be in the house. Glad most everyone else experienced Victoria (email hidden), that was not my experience. My first greeting from her was a scolding for leaving my bag on her porch .
No big ALOHA greeting for me!!!
Was told afternoon check in, when I got to the house, no one was there, my check in was put off by Victoria till 6pm. Fine... so left bag on porch..there were shoes and other items already on her porch. Neighbors have furniture and swim gear on their porches did not think it would be a problem to leave my carry on bag on porch....since Kauai is easy to get around on, often I do not rent a car and just ride the bus. That was the case this time so I had a few hours to kill and didn' t want to drag bag around... Did not feel welcome, felt I was an intrusion.
This review is unfortunate for all Airbnb users. My home most certainly
does not smell of animal urine, otherwise I would not have the guests and
postiive reviews that are posted. I appreciate guests who take care to be
respectful and quiet matching the serene surroundings of stay at Kauai
Victoria offers a great, affordable room in Princeville that is conveniently located to all things on the North Shore. I would definitely stay there again.
