Perfectly located adjacent to artsy Hollywood Beach between Fort Lauderdale & Miami International airports.
The space
Welcome to Casita Mariposa!
Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Casita has been lovingly designed with a mix of vintage and modern elements, incorporating natural materials often seen in the Caribbean and Florida such as Rattan, Wicker, Grasscloth and Cane. Our bedroom mattresses are all 100% non toxic, hypoallergenic Purple gel flex grid. Our kitchen is fully updated with stainless steel appliances.
Casita Mariposa was created as a tropical refuge to share with our family and friends. Our small footprint is inspired by the landscape in our backyard and the Caribbean. It's a place we created for rest and relaxation.
It is vital to respect the neighbors, who are very close in proximity as well as understand with the tropical territory comes an array of lizards, bugs, birds, butterflies, falling dead palm fronds, a random iguana, possum or raccoon and perhaps a curious neighborhood cat. If this is too much to bear, perhaps a hotel is better for you. But if a natural, tropical, peaceful environment is what you desire, yet close to the hustle and bustle of Hallandale Beach blvd, and the beaches, we welcome you to book at our home!

Our desk/printer/copier/scanner set up and dining table is located in the Florida Room. It can be sealed off from the house with its own sliding door & separate A/C. Full view of the garden/backyard.
Guest access
The house is a private stand-alone house. No one else lives on site. We have wi-fi, two smart TV's, washer/dryer and a fully equipped kitchen with a ninja blender.
Guests have full access to the property. Guests may park on the driveway but not inside our garage. No more than 2 cars allowed.

Please confirm that you’ve read and agree to the following guidelines to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay:
No Parties or Smoking Indoors
Parties or gatherings at the property are strictly prohibited. Smoking inside the home is not allowed under any circumstances. If the house smells of cigarette smoke after your departure, an additional cleaning fee will be charged to the booking guest.
Keep Doors Closed
Please keep all entry doors closed at all times. This helps prevent unwanted critters from entering and also protects the home from excess moisture, which can lead to mold—especially in our humid coastal climate.
Window and A/C Care
If the air conditioning is running, kindly keep all windows closed. Open windows while the A/C is on can cause condensation damage and may result in the malfunction of the units.
Toilet Use
Our plumbing is quite sensitive. Please flush only toilet paper—no wipes, paper towels, feminine products, or other materials. Improper use can result in clogs, which may disrupt your stay. Any plumbing damage or service required due to misuse will be billed to the booking guest.
Furniture and Décor
We kindly ask that you do not move furniture, rugs, or decorative items without prior approval. If any items are moved and require additional time or labor to restore, an extra charge may apply.
Accidents Happen
If anything breaks or is stained during your stay, please let us know. We understand that accidents can happen, and we appreciate your communication.
Check-Out Temperature Settings
At check-out, please leave the main house and Florida room A/C units set to 74°F.
A/C Use During Stay
To help prevent the home from becoming muggy—especially since we’re just 1.5 miles from the ocean—we recommend keeping the A/C units on as much as possible throughout your visit.
