I had a fabulous time visiting with Pegi and wish I had planned a longer stay! She was so warm and welcoming which was exactly what I needed after a long day on the road. Sunny Acres is a beautiful property and Pegi has done a great job making her home into a destination. The Cottage Garden room provides a peaceful oasis for weary travelers with a comfy (email hidden) and a great view of the backyard. I hope to come back and visit soon!
Pegi was a very warm and welcoming host. Her home was quiet and peaceful!! Our room overlooked the lovely back yard including a view of the water feature. The home provided many places to sit and relax in the outdoor area. Coffee and tea were available in the am. Would definitely stay again!!
We had never been to Bend before so on the spur of the moment (for us anyway) decided to book a weekend stay in Pegi's cottage garden room in her beautiful home. She was extremely welcoming and flexible and had all kinds of advice for things to do in town. After a day of seeing the town, we enjoyed her lovely garden in the evening and sat out in the gazebo while eating yummy desserts and drinking wine. When we left, Pegi made us little bundles of cookies to take with us. I highly recommend staying at her b&b! We'll definitely be back. :)
the Home is about 10 min. from town,quiet on a good size lot,super clean and Nice!! The room was great and very comfortable,a great night sleep. Pegi was a great host,she allowed me to keep my bike in the garage,as It was raining a bit, and directed me to a great place for dinner that night! No breakfest but some baked cookies in a cute little pouch... a snack for the road with the first coffee break.
I would gladly stay there again indeed
After an activity filled week at Sun River it was nice to escape to the peace and tranquility of the Cottage Room. I was lucky enough to find Pegi last year when we stayed in her "cabin" with my 10year old and ill-behaved small dog, Sophie. Bend should be a destination city, with it's cute downtown, beautiful river and Mill District Yet for the average person driving thru on 97, the dearth of routine and run down motels doesn't inspire you to stop. Pegi's home however warrants a stop!. Her house is set back off the road on a lovely and landscaped acre with a babbling brook by which to drink your coffee near in the morning. Her home, for all it's peacefulness, is an 8 minute drive to downtown Bend and all the great restaurants and shops. Hiking, river rafting, and Sun River are all in close proximity. The cottage room has a divinely soft bed, a private bath and a TV with more channels than I knew what to do with. I believe Pegi's house will become an annual event, my vacation from "the vacation."
Me and my wife loved staying Pegi's home in Bend! She was very helpful helping us with suggestions for restaurants and providing lots of information materials for the Bend area. We look forward to the next opportunity to visit Bend and Pegi's home.
My friend and I stayed at Pegi's for one night to break our drive to Montana. We had the most restful sleep (the bed is super comfortable!) and Pegi's warmth and kindness made our stay very enjoyable. Really wish we could have stayed at Pegi's longer to enjoy the house and everything it has to offer!
We had such an amazing time at Pegi's B&B. The property is gorgeous, and Pegi is so warm and friendly.
Some of our trip highlights included:
* Roasting s'mores under the stars
* The super comfortable bed in our room. Our room was also very cute.
* Pegi! She's delightful and made us feel very welcome
* The property's gorgeous yard.
* The morning coffee! (Sitting out on the deck was delightful)
* Pegi's cookies!
We definitely plan to come back and stay with Pegi again. I would recommend this property to anyone!
Pegi was an amazing host! Our stay was so peaceful and her home was so welcoming! We could see the joy she receives out of hosting guests in her lovely home. We toured the garden and sat out on her deck in the evening and had such a wonderful time sharing. i felt a specialness not just about staying at her home but it was a true gift of having a host like Pegi . I will be back some day when I tour the country again! We loved our stay
We had a lovely time staying with Pegi. She's a nice hostess who clearly loves welcoming folks into her home. There were several special touches, and we were comfortable in every way.
This was our first airbnb experience, and we can't think of anything we'd change.
