Pegi was a fantastic hostess and really made us feel special. The breakfasts were amazing - we had a tough time deciding which ones to choose. The setting is so relaxing and inviting - I only wish we had more down time to enjoy sitting in the gazebo and reading.
Thanks for making our weekend a great one Pegi!

Pegi was an excellent host! You can definitely tell she serves from the heart. The location is right outside town and was a quiet welcome retreat for us after a long day of exploring Bend. The breakfasts were truly gourmet and it was relaxing being able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
I had a fabulous time visiting with Pegi and wish I had planned a longer stay! She was so warm and welcoming which was exactly what I needed after a long day on the road. Sunny Acres is a beautiful property and Pegi has done a great job making her home into a destination. The Cottage Garden room provides a peaceful oasis for weary travelers with a comfy bed, a flatscreen TV and a great view of the backyard. I hope to come back and visit soon!
Pegi was a very warm and welcoming host. Her home was quiet and peaceful!! Our room overlooked the lovely back yard including a view of the water feature. The home provided many places to sit and relax in the outdoor area. Coffee and tea were available in the am. Would definitely stay again!!
We had never been to Bend before so on the spur of the moment (for us anyway) decided to book a weekend stay in Pegi's cottage garden room in her beautiful home. She was extremely welcoming and flexible and had all kinds of advice for things to do in town. After a day of seeing the town, we enjoyed her lovely garden in the evening and sat out in the gazebo while eating yummy desserts and drinking wine. When we left, Pegi made us little bundles of cookies to take with us. I highly recommend staying at her b&b! We'll definitely be back. :)
the Home is about 10 min. from town, quiet on a good size lot, super clean and Nice!! The room was great and very comfortable,a great night sleep. Pegi was a great host, she allowed me to keep my bike in the garage,as It was raining a bit, and directed me to a great place for dinner that night! No breakfest but some baked cookies in a cute little pouch... a snack for the road with the first coffee break.
I would gladly stay there again indeed
After an activity filled week at Sun River it was nice to escape to the peace and tranquility of the Cottage Room. I was lucky enough to find Pegi last year when we stayed in her "cabin" with my 10year old and ill-behaved small dog, Sophie. Bend should be a destination city, with it's cute downtown, beautiful river and Mill District Yet for the average person driving thru on 97, the dearth of routine and run down motels doesn't inspire you to stop. Pegi's home however warrants a stop!. Her house is set back off the road on a lovely and landscaped acre with a babbling brook by which to drink your coffee near in the morning. Her home, for all it's peacefulness, is an 8 minute drive to downtown Bend and all the great restaurants and shops. Hiking, river rafting, and Sun River are all in close proximity. The cottage room has a divinely soft bed, a private bath and a TV with more channels than I knew what to do with. I believe Pegi's house will become an annual event, my vacation from "the vacation."

About the Host, Pegi
I moved from Chicago to Bend in the summer of 2011 to be closer to my parents who retired here 26 years ago.
I recently purchased this home on 2 1/2 acres of incredible quiet country land within the high desert of Central Oregon. I love to meet new people and hear their stories. Airbnb is the chance to do this and share my home with you. We look forward to your visit to enjoy a tranquil country setting with all the comforts of a B&B and great hospitality.
Central OR has so much to offer year round, who wouldn't want to come for a visit?
