Escape into the woods! Hike 0.25 km into your private and spacious off-grid campsite. Keep cozy by the fire in the four season canvas tent. Suited for all levels of camping experience. Enjoy novice to intermediate-level hiking trails, cooking dinner on the fire, observing nature, and stargazing. Take a day trip to one of the local Provincial Parks; Bon Echo and Sharbot Lake. We hope you have a memorable experience in the woods!

Note: the wood stove is removed during the summer.

The space
What we provide:
• drinking water provided in a jug;
• fire pit with grill for cooking;
• pots, pans & utensils;
• bed linens & pillows;
• picnic table;
• solar shower;
• first aid kit.

What to expect:
• the solar shower requires sun to warm up and is low pressure
• bring bug spray for ticks, mosquitos & deerfly (seasonal)
• prepare for the elements; rain, sun, cold, etc.
• the beaver pond on the property is not adequate for swimming
• the property is off grid, you will not be able to charge devices
• there is cell service at the site and on the trails (Bell & Rogers towers nearby)
• we live on the property, you may see us and our pug out on the trails!

Please note: We do not provide firewood. The Shell gas station at the Hwy 7 and Hwy 41 intersection sells wood.

Hiking:
There are 2 beautiful trails accessible from your campsite. Our shortest trail, approx. 45 min to complete will lead you through the forest to a waterfall (the waterfall does become dry during drought-like conditions) and a gorgeous view of the beaver pond. Our second trail, approx. 1-1.5 hrs to complete will lead you up the beautiful rocky ridge, to a picturesque beaver pond where you will have a stunning view of the surrounding area!

Located in the picturesque Ontario Highlands, we have created a unique camping experience. Enjoy hikes in the woods, cooking on the fire, observing nature and star gazing at the end of the day.
