John's apartment was great. Convenient, within walking distances to everything. My wife and I stayed 3 nights on our honeymoon to the UK. We would definitely recommend John's apartment.
Great location - very handy for getting around London, but you wouldn't want to stay in the apartment for any longer than necessary! Shower broken - base gaffa taped together and temperature control stuck on high. Bed frame sagging in the middle - we had to sleep on just the mattress on the (website hidden) didn't work. No windows or natural light.
Useful as a cheap place to stay for a couple of days but needs repairing/ updating - photos a bit misleading. Wouldn't stay again.
Great location, responsive host, quality flat. Happy to recommend.
pretty good home! near the center of London supermarket twenty steps. and frequent transport. very good wi-fi convenient kitchen. negatives. there was no soundproofing so when discussing the neighbors have sounded like I was inside the house, the bed was broken, and has no windows.
Mark was great, any issue that we had he responded very quickly. The apartment is in a great location! Very close to two tube stations although we only used Barbican. The Shakespeare pub just down the road is a must! Thanks for a great stay Mark!
The apartment was a good size for two people, and it was great to have our own microwave, washing machine, fridge etc. It was very clean when we got there and it's a great option if you're travelling to London, especially for the price.
It's a 10 min walk to Barbican station which is on the city line, making sightseeing very easy. There are a couple of restaurants in Barbican if you're feeling lazy and a Tesco's next door which was handy.
Our only issue (aside from the TV not working, but that didn't matter too much) was that the knob in the shower for water temp was stuck on 50 degrees celsius. It was extremely unpleasant to deal with for the 8 days we were there. I emailed asking for some assistance but got no answer. Since it was something we could get by with I let it go, but I'd make sure it was fixed before I stayed there again.
Tip for ladies: There's no electrical outlet in the bathroom (where the only mirror is) so consider investing in a small standing mirror so you can do your hair in the bedroom.
Easy check-in at the apartment. Well depicted by the pictures included on the website. Good size for two people over a couple of days. Included a well laid out kitchen and laundering facilities.
However, we had a few issues with the amenities - the television didn't work (the sky subscription had expired & we could only find static on other channels), & the shower temperature couldn't be adjusted. In addition, the walls are very thin & we were often woken up by tenants climbing the stairs late at night.
The apartment is located close to tube stations - Old Street & Barbican - & about a 15 minute walk from St Paul's. However, we didn't feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood at night - there were often alarms ringing & individuals causing a disturbance. The TESCOs on the corner was very convenient.
In all - a good sized apartment, in a convenient location - but a few flaws which dampened the experience.
Small but cosy place to stay.
The central location was great for a few days taking in the sights of London.
Hermoso piso, muy completo y limpio. Todo muy bien salvo wiffi que no funcionaba nunca, el resto ok!
Stayed for 2 nights in Nov 2013. The studio is centrally located with everything you will need in London! It can be a bit loud (perhaps too thin walls?) but a pair of earplugs did the trick for me. Very convenient - close to bus stops and walking distance to underground stations and tesco express open until 11pm around the corner for quick fixes. Highly recommended.
