About this listing
Please note: This apartment has a private entrance, but it also connects to the main house and although you have your own microwave and kettle, the kitchen facilities are shared with the hosts. One night bookings are most welcome if placed within three weeks of arrival.
What makes our place unique is the fantastic location.
We are in a completely rural setting with fantastic scenery yet only a short journey to Dublin, so you can easily experience both the city and and the rural world. We are within walking distance of a small village which has a good restaurant and a traditional pub. There are great walks and lots of places to visit locally.
From the village you can get to the Wicklow Hills and Bray (a lovely seaside town with traditional pubs & restaurants). A small theatre and a leisure centre plus a beautiful promenade.
Dublin is accesible by LUAS, DART and bus. There are direct bus links to Bray, Dublin, Wicklow Town and Glendalough as well as Dublin Airport and Rosslare Seaport. Dublin bus no 145 has its final bus stop in the village. We are 10 minutes walk from this stop. Alternatively, you can reach the Dublin centre in a 25 minutes drive and the Dublin Airport in a 35 minutes drive.
Your room is lovely with an ensuite shower room and an informal seating area adjoined. You have your own entrance and a microwave and kettle - for any other cooking you can use our kitchen. We are just a door away and will always be happy to help. The accommodation is suitable for two people or a small family.
It is an ideal location to get away from it all. When your batteries are recharged there are, amongst other things, beautiful walks, golf, gardens to visit, and a visit to Dublin to enjoy.

We had a wonderful stay at this place. Nice visit to the Harbour bar in Bray. We hiked around the little sugar loaf and watched a flight show. Maura gave us all kinds of tips and she made us a supernice breakfast. She is a great host. Lovely place.
Had an excellent stay with Maura and Shaun. We would whole haeartedly recommend this stay for anyone who wishes to explore Ireland. A great base for the city and the countryside with excellent public transport links. Our hosts made us feel extremely welcome and cooked us a fabulous breakfast. Comfortable, clean room with a private bathroom and small kitchen. Thank you for your hospitality!
We had a great time staying with Maura and Sean. They were fabulous hosts with excellent travel recommendations, and their property is beautiful, clean and roomy. Staying at their place is like staying in a private apartment because you have your own entrance as well as your own eat-in kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable with extra towels and pillows, a mini fridge, etc. Lovely area and grounds. Maura and Sean cooked breakfast and dined with us each morning, which was a pleasant surprise. We had good conversations, and they made recommendations that allowed us to go off the beaten path a bit. They're friendly and helpful yet respectful of their guests' space at the same time. Would absolutely stay with them again.
Maura and her husband were chilled and easygoing people during our visit. We were adequately satisfied with their hosting and we'd recommended their accommodation to anybody looking to visit the surrounding area
Had a great time staying at Maura and Sean's place while attending a nearby festival. The weather was fantastic and it was very relaxing. Very convenient for exploring Wicklow. Lovely homecooked breakfast!
Hi Maura and Sean,
Thanks for al lovely stay! You are as kind and helpfull as the other reviews say :-) I really apreciated the pick up at the busstop because of my delay and the drop of for my return trip with the heavy backpack! It weight just 20,2 kilogram in total ;-) Also the bread, butter, cereals and yoghurt for my first breakfast were very welcome! I am glad we still had a few good talks eventhough I was out and about a lot.
Really kind regards!

A lovely dog, nice surroundings ,good bed and excellent shower.
