I am so sorry you had so much stress! I was not aware of it.
You reserved 2 weeks prior your stay. We immediately exchanged few emails to organize your check-in. As requested, you gave me your arrivals details and flight number, so you could come directly at the house as soon as you arrive in Paris. We have the same process with all our guests for check-in (or drop off your luggages if you arrive earlier than regular check-in time).
Then you contacted me 2 weeks later, `the day prior your arrival, confirming you had the address of the house but wanted to know the process to get the keys. You asked me to answer by text message, which I did the very same day (but there is a 8 to 9 hours time zone between France and California, US). I just reconfirmed our address and that there were no special process to get the keys. You just had to come at the house and ring at the bell. Someone was there to wait for you. I just added the mobile phone number of my housekeeper (you had already the phone number of the house where she was waiting for you), in case you had trouble during your stay and need immediate assistance (as indeed I was myself abroad that week).
You reached the house with no trouble.
I was not aware the toilet seat was broken during your stay. It has been replaced since then. But we would have gladly fixed it during your stay if we had knew about it.
In the futur, do not hesitate to contact your host during your stay. Most of the issue can be fix easily and immediately.
But when you contact poeple in a different time zone (like from California to Europe), you might received the answer only the next day.
