Interaction with Guests

Will be Myself to receive guests, hand over the keys and give any instructions and an overview of the neighborhood (for those who want it).

The Neighborhood

The Ostiense district is one of the strangest in which you might find in Rome. Small (covers an area of 'just' 7000 km2), often unknown to the Romans, Ostiense ranks among the Aurelian Walls, a bend of the Tiber River and the historic center as if little or no could change its rhythms.
A popular story, the one that sets it apart. Area restaurants in Rome '50s.
Today considered among the most "cultural" of Rome, the seat of architecture, the residence of actors and directors.
Ostiense maintains the status of the closed area, the autonomy typical of Roman districts working under almost the 'special laws': the rules that lead them to have-each-a story in itself.

Getting around

The area is the most connected area of Rome by public transport.
Nearby there is a parking fee, but you can also park on the street or nearby streets.
Easy to reach by train or bus from Fiumicino Airport (bus stop "Stazione Ostiense") and the Central Station Termini and Tiburtina (high speed) via Metro (metro line "B", "Piramide

  • Stefano was a great host! He was there waiting for us on the street as we were a little lost. The flat was perfect with everything we needed. The patio was lovely and there is an impressive array of records and books as well. I especially loved the vintage typewriter and camera. Lovely decorations and art work.
We must mention the restaurant Stefano recommended. It was sensational!! Best meal we had in in Italy and the best tiramisu I've had in my life!!
Great location. I would happily stay here again!

    Response from Stefano:

Monique, the next time you come to Rome, I'll take you on a "restaurant" located in the extreme outskirts of Rome, but still an authentic Roman trattoria. Roman cuisine, if you desire it and want to learn about a place just for true Romans. Buona estate . Stefano.

    Response from Stefano:

    Thank you for reporting.
Frankly, I'm surprised because it's the first time I get a message about cleaning.
I always clean the house after each guest a pair of Filipinos generally and personally I check ....
I am very humbled by this, I hold very welcoming as cleaning.
    I have no excuses.
The only excuse that the hoper terrace in Rome is that it rained like never before in the last 40 years and I can assure you that it is really difficult to clean when everything is wet.
Thank you for the warning 'personal'. Makes me think that you have understood the unfortunate coincidence. Stefano

  • Stefano's house is perfect for discovering Rome. It’s perfect for two or three people. The apartment has a cozy terrace ideal for having breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. It's clean and furnished with everything you need. The flat is well connected with public transport and it takes only few minutes to reach the Coliseum walking.
Stefano is a wonderful host. He picks us up and give us some advises.

To sum up, a perfect place for enjoying Rome!

  • Apartment Stefano liked us! The description on the website is very true in the apartment there is all necessary. We loved the terrace in the evenings there is often rested. Very convenient location to the metro to the station Ostiense and to the station to the sea. Near the magnificent area of Trastevere. Near the end of Via dei Conciatori is a good supermarket.
It was a great choice of leisure. I will recommend to all my friends.

  • Stefano and his apartment were both fantastic. Stefano met us at the train station and showed us how to get to the apartment and several places nearby to eat or shop for things we might need during our stay. He was also very good about communicating back and forth if we had any questions about anything at all. The apartment was very clean and spacious for 2 people. I felt very safe in the apartment, as there are 2 security gates to open before getting to the front door. The patio was a great place to sit and relax after a long day of walking around the city. It was very conveniently located to public transportation, both the bus and the metro. The only thing I would suggest to guests is to bring earplugs for sleeping as you are on the first floor and there was a lot of noise from people on the street.

  • Stefano had a great apartment that was close to ruins, Colosseum and train station. The best part of the apartment was the terrace.... Very large for Rome! Stefano met us at the station so we could be guided to his flat... Nice touch! Thanks Stefano!

  • We stayed in Stefano's apartment early may and would highly recommend him to anyone. Stefano is a lovely welcoming host who kindly meet us at the station so we wouldn't get lost and gave us lots of suggestions for places to visit in the neighborhood. The apartment itself is lovely and eccentric with loads of personal touches that makes staying there a unique experience. In fact it was so good at times we wanted to just relax in the courtyard rather then wander round Rome.

The location couldn't be better, it's trendy and artsy with lots of lovely cafes, restaurants and amazing street art. The metro/train station was a 5 min walk away and the coliseum was only 20 minutes away.

Thank you Stefano for making our trip amazing and when we return to Rome we would love to stay here again.

  • Our stay in Stefano's flat was fantastic. The apartment was great with enough room for 3 adults and a very nice outdoor area. The location was really good, about a 5 minute walk to the train station which takes you into the heart of Rome within minutes. Stefano was a great host and even came and met us at the metro station to walk us to the apartment. Would recommended to anyone looking to stay in Rome.
